I hope you continue on one day as this is a very good story. I will have to fully read it but just skimming it as I have done I look forward to seeing how much trouble Dudley will cause Harry before he fights back against him with the help of Slytherin house.

I love this so much! I haven't read many 'Dudley is a wizard' fics, but I love the plot for this.

I know this hasn't been updated in a while and you may have abandoned this but you asked for input in your A/N so here it is!
First off I really love this story and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for and I was very happy to find it.
I think if you wanted to diverge from canon while still sticking with how things go you could have the petrifications progress like normal but when the parseltongue comes out maybe have Dudley tell people that Harry has always been able to talk to snakes? (and make it something Harry just thought he could do no big deal) It would alienate him from the school and make people question him like in canon. Harry being in Slytherin is obviously a big point, the fake friends (Johanna) will obviously try to be even better friends with him but harry just won't have it. I think it would be great if Dudley stole the diary from Ginny out of spite and then started writing in it. DiaryTom would be oh so intrigued about what Dudley knows about the boy who lived as well as his own experiences with Voldemort. This could be used to seriously cause problems. I can almost see Dudley as this generations Peter Pettigrew (Although his dislike for magic and Hogwarts might make that very difficult, but power is power so maybe Dudley will change his mind)
Honestly I think you should consider where you want Harry to go as a Slytherin and what that will mean with Tom Riddle and being a parselmouth and the future events of the books, how will his growth change and what will happen since Voldemort/Quirrel didn't get destroyed like he did in the books by Harry (does he still think the stone is in the mirror and how will that play out). That as well as how Dudley is going to grow. Will he still want to get away from magic at the end of every year or will he eventually mature and find his place? Him staying the way he is now is believable but also kind of boring. He isn't evil, just a cruel boy raised to be cruel. Perhaps being saved by Harry in the chamber would change his thinking on his cousin.

I love Fred and George’s reactions to Harry and I love Blaise’s and Malfoy’s reactions to Lockhart! They were so cute and funny. And yeah, diverge from canon as much as could be reasonable.

Glad to see you are back. I have missed this story.
Canon would not change that much with Dudley there. He is not that influential.

I personally would diverge from plot and allow more growth than was in canon. And flushing out secondary characters is always awesome. And there are massive changes just from him being in Slytherin due to being able to negate the need for polyjuice which changes his knowledge in fourth year.

So, will Ron tell everyone the truth about Harry and Dudley?

I like how they call out lockhart earlier! As for your question about diverging from canon, I’m curious to see how the school would react if harry was thought to be the heir of slytherin, while in slytherin. also how that would affect Dudley’s perception, but for the moment, I’m really glad no one likes Dudley anymore

Please please please tell me the Slytherins are going to boycott Lockhart's class. Or team up with certain members of the other houses to make the man's life living hell. Either way, this was an amazing chapter!~~~~~~
