Adrian, I'm pretty sure you can blame Plagg for both Marinette's and Ladybug's opinion of Chat Noir. Yeah, that's why I think Chat's so annoying - Plagg turns his natural personality into something more obnoxious than how Adrian would be if he was just allowed to be himself.

That's interesting; I haven't gotten to the prequel episodes yet, but I definitely believe that Adrian had to beg for school.

And yeah, that's a thing in my spinoff: Devil Cat has fewer fans than the girls he hangs out with ("they're more photogenic," he frequently says), and he has to take care not to scare the ones he has. This is, unfortunately, difficult for him: he's far more animalistic than Chat Noir, and his powers are very dangerous and a challenge for even him to control, "and maybe they SHOULD be afraid of me." There are (at the moment) only two people he tries his ultimate hardest not to scare.

Actually red is one of the first colors to look black in the dark. Ladybug would be fine.

Now, if Queen Bee and Volpina actually become a thing in the future like everyone thinks they will, THEY will have night-target problems. Especially Queen Bee. Bright yellow, orange-and-white, they'll stand out like a couple of beacons.

I always wondered about the phone thing. That probably is the explanation, that the Kwamis block it.

Nice touch, throwing in a little "I hate fighting my classmates" attitude. I don't think we ever hear about that in the show, and we ought to. I'm definitely going to have Devil Cat or one of his girl partners bring it up at least once.
I think I can guess who the cookies were for. Poor Marinette, never realizing that her present was accepted by the very person she'd wanted to give them to.

This is like the Valentine special of Detective Conan: Case Closed, actually. Really cute.

And that right there is what my spinoff's version of Chat Noir is called: the Devil Cat. At least it's one of his names; he has several. Ghost Cat, Grimalkin, Cheshire Cat, he - and anyone else - could go on. Really, he doesn't care what people call him...as long as it doesn't resemble his real name too closely, but he's hardly going to tell anyone that he doesn't like a name for THAT reason.

Too bad this isn't actually a thing in the show; it's cute. Maybe if this was a thing, Chat Noir would realize who Ladybug is, I don't know.

This is something that happens VERY occasionally in my spinoff - the Cat visiting his schoolgirl crush - but how they interact is a lot more like Adrian and Ladybug in the same room. Mostly awkward. Which is why it's so seldom. What probably happens with more frequency is when the heroine visits the out-of-costume Cat, and those interactions are a lot more...well, more casual and less awkward.

If only HE knew...God, I hope the show has a reveal soon...

lol, Oh yeah, my spinoff's Cat does this to all five of his female partners; in fact, he has an even easier time than Chat Noir, because he can turn invisible AND incorporeal (so they wouldn't see or feel that he was there until HE wanted them to know).

I don't see this teasy side of Ladybug very often, lol...though I know she has one.

In my spinoff...one of the five girls IS the Cat's "Lady," but if they had an interaction like this with both of them in superhero mode, it wouldn't be this way around. In fact, I'm not sure it would look like this at all - my Cat takes all of Chat Noir's jokes, puns, and cockiness and mixes it with Ladybug's "I'm not into you that way" air.
Kind of like how both Marinette and Ladybug love Adrian, my Cat and his civilian persona are both in love with a big-hearted schoolgirl. I'm still working on exactly what his reaction would be to learn that this schoolgirl is one of his fighting partners.

"Being Chat Noir was his freedom." I like that.
My spinoff's Chat Noir considers his cat powers a mixed blessing (they come with a host of feline quirks and instincts that would probably get him caught if he wasn't so very careful all the time), but definitely one of the things he likes about them is how he can enjoy some real freedom with them.

He probably would have a migraine after a session like that. Poor guy.
