The best part of this is that they both recognize that he is just going to keep throwing himself into dangerous situations, even after such a close call. I like that Barry brought it up - clearly weighing on his mind and on Joe's. Father-son bonding is great to read.

Last night episode was... just wow. I was expecting the first encounter with Zoom to end up bad, but not THAT bad. Just wow. I don't think I would have recovered by next week's episode, but reading oneshots/stories like yours really help :) I've always loved your stories, and as for this one, I did miss a scene like this in that episode. Joe and Barry are just perfect as father and son! Thanks for posting! :D

This was great! I love the father/son relationship Barry and Joe have, and I adore their scenes. I also LOVE the relationship between Barry and his father. Their scenes were some of the most poignant in the show. Season 1 of the Flash was awesome! Not sure how I feel about season 2 just yet, but we'll see.
