Cieran needs a hug, some therapy, and a boot in the ass... but he's among a company of people who don't hate his guts, so that's something. Really looking forward to the next bit! :)

Jack was awesome, but I almost forgot how she could be pre-character development. Kinda angry at Nyn for pulling this right after Rane died, but... power armor. Hope he gets some closure, some therapy, and a damned good hug.

MORDIN! I should have seen this coming, but you got me here. Nailed his character too — so wonderful to see him again. In my current ME playthrough, I lost Mordin at the end of the Suicide Mission; still not sure why? Had to deal with Padok Wiks in ME3, who’s not bad but still is not Mordin. Thank you for this scene!

Interesting crew he’s putting together... all they need is a stealth frigate with a wise-cracking pilot.

Gosh, he’s never going to make it back to Ilium now, is he? At least not for a very long time. I knew that this was likely, ever since they stayed on Omega to fight and avenge Tris. Emotional decisions give way to mistakes and more war more risk of dying. Should have regrouped on Ilium when you had the chance.

Maybe this Thul guy can be a force for good and balance out all the crazy with the rest of the squad to help Cieran stay as Paragon as possible going forward. The phrase from the Nolan Batman movies rings true here: “you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”. As Cieran keeps outliving his friends, I hope he doesn’t let his rage drive him too far down the Renegade path.

Every time they chat — in the middle of a battle — about what they’re going to do once they’re off of Omega and enjoying Ilium, I cringe. Keep your eye on the ball! Don’t let your attention slip because it ain’t over till it’s over. I don’t like the loss that the title of the next book implies... whose death will he be avenging?

Calm before the storm...

Being unable to communicate with Ilium is really taking its toll. If someone was planning psychological warfare against him, this is how they’d do it: isolate him from good-natured friends (Trena, Ghai, Ilyan, Erana), surround him with morally bankrupt people and put him in near-impossible situations. He’ll lose allies, blame himself, make emotional decisions and descend into madness — opening himself up to making mistakes which his hunter can exploit. I wonder how much of his situation is random (like the Blood Pack attacking all of a sudden) and how much is being orchestrated to get to Cieran. Between the Matriarch, SIU, Shadow Broker, unknown... his list of enemies is quite powerful. Heh, Krogans measure one’s honor by the strength of enemy you defeat — if he can keep staying alive against these big bass, he’ll prove he’s got a quad.

Sounds like the Psychotic Biotic is coming on board next — drink your juice, Rodriguez!

Come on man, you know that’s not gonna help anything. There’s a difference between being coldly brutal and being actively cruel.

I got a little suspicious when things were going too smoothly... this is the kind of unpredictable wrench in their plans that could seriously change things.

Not cool, Voya. Fighting while exhausted is how you get injured. I wouldn't tolerate that from a "friend".
