This was well written, but AU does not mean you can shred reality. I was looking forward to witnessing the development/restoring of printing on Pern. However you destroyed the colony's step by step development. pre AVAIS and post rediscovery of their lost knowledge through the ancient computer. This chapter messed it all up and ruined it all. I was thinking I'd found a treasure trove of Pern stories, and now my hopes have been dashed. So keep trying, and growing as a writer, and I have no doubt that you will make your mark soon. Get some wiser heads to guide you. Good luck!

I checked out your many, many, and quite numerous already completed Harry Potter, Dragonriders of Pern, as well as other fanfiction. Well practiced and strongly written with dozens more chapters with your own characters developed in the last Pass of the Red Star that have brought deadly 'thread' to the world of Pern (Parallel Earth Resources Negligible) for over 25 centuries that human beings have been on Pern, so many more tales to read and I saw no prequels yet. Much good stuff, yea!

Welcome back! It's great to see you writing again, I for one have sorely missed your DoP stories. And yes, poor H'llon is going to be VERY busy for a very long time, lol.

Will we be finding out if Vorinia or Josis will Impress at Daenilth's clutch's Hatching? And will that weyrwoman be getting transferred to the new island weyr to become their new Senior Weyrwoman? I think Vorinia would do well as senior, to be honest. She's good at management (well, hold management, anyway), but she's more of a jack-of-all-trades rather than a specialist at anything, which would be ideal for a senior weyrwoman with an entire weyr to run. And if Josis went with her with her green, it'd give her a head start at her own females wing. (Or vice versa, if Josis Impressed the queen and Vorinia got a green.)

Aha, finally getting around to reviewing. :D

This story gave me an odd feeling that I had already read it once before and forgotten: it brought together so many threads and ideas laid out in earlier stories. Don't got me wrong, it was a good feeling; I love how much this world has grown. Besides, it has been awhile, so it was nice to have some reminders of where the different storylines ended up.

In any case, the would-be printers seem to be an enthusiastic bunch well set up for some productive mischief - just as well, given their association with HR. Glad to see Tarlon coming to himself, poor kid. :( The apprentices are always such a mixed bag, with all the different backgrounds and haphazard social safety nets.
