Excellent ending. Again, giving Broomhead that little slither of humanity is a good idea. I can't wait to see what you have in store for the next installment of this series.

Mildred saves the day! Yay. Also the happiness of a whole family at the end there, just perfect, and you gave Broomhead some redeeming features!

This chapter was very good. The introduction of Penelope was good and she is perhaps more threatening than Broomhead as a character.
Mildred is calling Nick and Constance Mommy and Daddy, cute.

what made miss hard broom change she doesn't like physical contact. it was very surprise when Mildred ask for a hug from Constance.

so how does Mildred save her she tell her friends and why can't' Penelope accept constance, Mildred and nick, be a family

Did they find Mildred and tell her miss hardbroom grandmother want to tear the family apart is she still alive

Do Constance and Amelia find tell her she miss hardbroom daughter

Is going to turn out that Mildred is miss hardbroom child.

So Broomhead does a heart after all.

It's harrowing to read how heartbroken Constance is over Mildred, though I guess if she is her daughter regardless of whether she is "the worst witch" she loves her and wants her to be safe.

I'm very much looking forward to the next update :D

Oh no! At least Mildred is safe at the moment.

It's an interesting take on Broomhead's character to have her acting on behalf of someone else and protecting someone. Lots of people have her as the bad guy, though I wonder if this is all a way for her to plot Mildred' demise...? I hope not.

Ooh this is getting so interesting. So Mildred's adopted, Constance and Nick's baby was put up for adoption by the family...

I'm beaming, really I am. I'm so relieved that Constance finally found Nick. For a moment when you said his friend was holding the fort at the coffee shop I thought they weren't ever going to see each other but yes! They did find each other. Now just to find the little one, unless the little one is already in Constance's life (I'm still holding onto my Mildred theory!)

Oh wow so Mildred knows Constance's husband!

What a great way to bring that into the story and kind of tie their histories together. Also I love the way you kind of incorporated the bit with the test at the end of the episode "Green Fingers and Thumbs" into this chapter.

Constance's heart ache over the loss of her husband is just beautifully written. And the hope she feels when she hears her old teachers' names. It was perfect. Well done.
