What does stiles mean by “funny that”?

You're a good writer, you have great grammar and vocabulary and I like how you formatted the story, just work on your pacing in the future. I also love how you write the Stiles dialogue, it's very in-character. That being said, I was really excited to read this story, but so far I'm just disappointed. Stiles' inner conflict about the pack being pissed off that he lied, especially when it comes down to his safety, is ridiculous. Why can't he tell the pack he's in danger, come up with a plan to ambush the Collector guy, and everyone stays safe? Not to mention the original plot point of the pack even letting the Collector guy skin a fox in the first place seems very out of character to a group of people who have risked their lives to save others. It's 6 or so against 1, Allison has a vast array of firearms at her disposal and the skill set to use them-not to mention the other people's claws and teeth-so why is this even a conflict?

Also, I feel like the majority of this story is a lot of chapters repeating themselves without any real plot. There are too many chapters dedicated to Stiles about to tell them his secret, or fighting with himself about not telling them, or Stiles fighting with his dad about keeping the secret-I'm 20 chapters in and only now is something finally happening. Plus since the pack knows he's in danger, why would they even let him out of their sight? Stiles is stupid too, for going to the showers BY HIMSELF to reveal-surprise, surprise-the Collector is there and knows his secret. I stopped actively reading the chapters anymore, just skimming to see if anything interesting happens, and then I came to the part when the Collector threatened Stiles at school. That's the point I finally gave up on this story.

This was an honestly enjoyable story to read and I hope you one day write a part 2!
