I love protective hyde

I skipped over this one because I was completely blank on the ep/Kelso-falling-from-the-watertower. I'm sorry I waited so long because this was so good! And I wasn't lost at all for having no clue about that particular difference. I love your One Difference fics!

I read all these stories a long time ago but never bothered to actual review them. My mistake.

This one, I remember, made me smile hard. Jackie is still too naive to understand her own anger, but lucky for her, she now has Hyde to support her during these difficult times for her. He has been there (and done that, too) and can see her vulnerability.

Another great thing: how do you came with these ideas? Jackie not going to the Water Tower means her at home, to her father's surprise, and to her broken heart's too. Well done, well done.

Another great story.
The interaction between Hyde's mother and Jackie is brilliant. Jackie's naiveness from the earlier seasons is a delite to read against Edna Hyde's malice, and Hyde's worry.
He doesn't truly like her yet here, but he can see she is hurting and relate to her once Jackie let him know why she was so angry at him. Her anger against life was also realistic and well written.
Good job on this one again, you are a great writer!

Excellent story that fills in so much of the backstory. If only the show had gone this way. Well done.

Wow this story was deep and intense. The moments shared between Steven and Jackie was powerful. It's like he let his walls down for her. She affects him like no other girl does. In a way he opened Jackie's eyes to what a jerk Kelso is to cheating on her. I felt this honest and real connection as they consoled the other on their families and how broken they are. It's like this foreshadowing on what's to come for Jackie and Hyde.

Beautifully written. This is one of my new favorite zennie stories. :)

Ah, you've done it again, Lisa. So many Zennie writers focus on the smoking hot UST between Jackie and Hyde, but so very few examine their potential for friendship. You really hit the nail on the head as to how these two could have, and probably did, become friends. It's just so touching and refreshing to read.

More than anything, I love that you wrote another fic with Edna in it. I'm always excited and apprehensive when you write Edna. On one hand, she fuels such an intense hatred in me that I want to burn her in effigy. She's not just a horrible mother but a horrible person. On the other hand, you write her so damn well that I can't help but be excited to experience the whole toxic Edna experience. And people wonder why Hyde has such a tough shell.

You know, reading this one-shot only has me super excited for your epic fic that you've still got waiting for us in the wings. It's torture, brah. Torture! But well worth the wait. ;)

I love the way you don't try to keep it pretty. Jackie is a messy crier with snot - which adds so much more reality to the tale. And what an interesting Edna - clearly she has a lot going on in her head. Also I caught the line she gives as Hyde is taking off with Jackie! Thanks for another great installment of the One Difference stories :-D

It seems like forever since you've written-I missed you! You write the absolute best J/H fic as I have told you many times. Love the descriptiveness and Hyde's protectiveness of Jackie. So glad he got her away from Edna's corrosiveness. As always, fantastic job. Love it!
