When I first saw the episode, I had trouble figuring out which of the Italy brothers was actually "Kind of d***", as Veneziano so eloquently put it. Anyways, I like this point of view on those events (especially with familial instead of romantic love); but being descendant of british, germans and italians (*shudders in horror* A terrifying threesome to think about. Curse you, Gerita!) I think accents should be left for when the characters are speaking, because to every country, others are the ones that speak strangely.

First of all: I do not ship Spamano either, so reading this with the knowledge that someone wrote this without doing it simply because they didn't feel like writing their "OTP" romantically is actually kinda relieving.
I always did find the episode a bit one-sided, but never really gave it much thought until now. This story kinda makes me wish Spain would (could) lecture Italy for his behavior now, though.

Love it! This was really nice to read. I also agree with you about Veneziano's words being rather harsh, Romano didn't deserve that.

P.S.: I also prefer Spain and Romano as family/friends rather than lovers.
