"No, there's six left." Chilling. And amazing.

Well, that was impressive and depressing, with even Xander and team only making it by the skin of their teeth and Zombies everywhere using the population of the north American continent as a chew toy. Riley's "Cure" for a Zombie bite was horrific-but hey, it worked. Also, the bits of humour make it all work well, and the heroics even during the Apocalypse-Riley essentially heading out into Hell to hold the line as long as he can against the Walking Dead to give the Slayers and allies a chance to bring them all back from the very brink. I'd love to see a sequel, if possible?

I only started reading this yesterday and already I'm 6-chapters in and loving every paragraph. The small pockets of humour is first-rate ;-). Can't wait to read the next six ... and then the next six ... and then ...

This would have to be one of the most thrilling zombie stories I have read recently.

I'd love to see a story about these days from Buffy's & the slayer's council point of view. One has to figure every slayer in the world is going all-out. One thing's for sure. When this is all over, they're going to be well known publicly, if there's any public left.
B. & Willow must be going nuts over Xander & Dawn's fate. That nothing has been sent to help them shows how bad things must be.
At this point I don't see how they can make it to dawn of the next day.

Any chance of a side story from Buffy's side of things after she leaves? It would be fascinating to see things from how things are looking on the outside while this whole thing is going on with the Zombies.

Good planning. The sad thing is that they're doing better than any survivors in any zombie film ever. They've avoided all the stupid mistakes, planned well, used all their resources intelligently...and it's not enough. Short of Buffy arriving with a bunch of slayers, it's about over.
Things must be pretty bad if she hasn't returned by now.

Hopefully the whole mall doesn't catch fire. That would be bad, getting trapped on the roof during that. And the zombies appear to be speeding up/improving. One thing-too bad no radio, the knowledge that they have a slayer with them would probably justify getting a helicopter to pick them up.
As is, they're likely doing much better than almost every other small isolated group.

So, how long is this going to go on? Oh. Right. The title of the story. Never mind! They should focus not he positive. Aircraft are still working and there are still special ops teams doing things, so they're not the last humans left alive. Someone out there is still active, organized & fighting. Maybe.

So. Clearly humans have learned how to fly, then die and turn zombie and drop! Or paratroopers have been sent to rescue them! Ok, I give up.
