I love it. And again you nailed it. And you are right, again. I don't know why they wrote Grover like that. First and foremost I don't think he meant it, because playful banter and all, but actually Danny and Grover are good friends and from what we've seen I don't think he'd think something like that. Plus Chi and Scott are friends in real life, so I keep guessing how they worked it out without being snappy to each other. I think the whole concept of season 6 except some eps and moments was to be against Danny. Steve was snarky and snappy, even being rude and acted like he didn't care. Then he said what he said, not mentioning the ep nor the scene, you'll know it. Plus they ruined Grover like a character, because they forced him as Steve's partner even when Danny is around and I like him a lot, but what's been done, a huge wrong to Danny. Thanks for writing this.

I'm just now getting to season six...I didn't know how much I needed this "fix" for the Tough Mudder episode until I read this epilogue. Absolutely perfect. It's now my head canon. Great job!

This makes the whole episode so much better. I mean I like the episode, because of the Ohana thing. Spending time with each other outside of the job. But when they called Danny the weakest link, man that pissed me off. I had to convince myself that they did I to tease him, but it came out wrong in so many ways. So I'm really glad I'm not the only one who felt like that about it. Wished they finished the episode with a scene like this story!

Thank you for this it's fics like this, ones that explain/expand on/fill in gaps/give different interceptions of events etc. that fit well into head-canon and canon why started reading fanfic and can still enjoy watching Hawaii Five-0 and other programs.

I feel better about this episode now! I especially liked how Danny didn't agree to do the next year's race until he really realized that he wasn't the weakest link, and that they all wanted him on the team. That's more like it!

I enjoyed this. The Mudder episode held such promise...until the weakest link business and Danny getting hurt. Plus they didn't show much of the Mudder itself. I like what you did with this.

Superb tag to Tough mudder episode! Loved it! This really completed the episode. It was so beautiful and written beautifully. I don't know how I missed this but I am happy that I found it because reading it has put a smile in my face. You make me not only to fall in love with Danny but Steve too... also the Ohana. BTW, Danny is the 'glue' and he truly has a 'Mega Watt' smile. :)

Very Cute Story... Loved the Tie-in. Really made up for all this episode was lacking.

Finally saw the Mudders episode. I agree whole heartedly about needing to see more of the race and about the weak link comment. I love your story and how you chose to fill in the gaps.

This showed a better side of that comment. I didn't like that Lou said that. He had no right he didn't even race and got a Dr. note. Danny gave bone marrow and race and had or might still have his bad ACL. Plus the team agreed with Lou. Some friends they are. But Danny just let it roll off. Then got hurt during the race but still finished it anyway. He is no way the weak line. He IS the glue that hold them together.

This was fantastic! I felt the exact same way as you in this episode! Poor Danny had just given bone marrow to his newly discovered son and then ran in this race, and Lou had the nerve to call him the weakest link?! Just look at all his muscles, he obviously is able to do all the necessary strength skills for the race. I also wished that they showed more of the actual race and how Danny exactly got injured.
I did enjoy the racing clothes. The muscle top really showed off everyone's muscles. Scott sure likes to run with everything hanging free. All the male runners I know where spandex undershorts that hold everything in. You always seem to get a good view of everything with Scott though-is he going commando?
