Did I think Senzaemon do the right thing? Yes, in terms of playing with the cards he had available... This honestly could’ve turned into a much larger controversy. But he really shouldn’t have let Azami get this far in the first place. First, there better be a good god damn love story of how Azami managed to swoon his wife into marriage, if the girl couldn’t see the red flags something was up with her. If his wife really did choose him out of love, then it also brings into question Senzaemon’s parenting skills. Actually, Senzaemon’s parenting skills are put into question period, because his daughter really did seem to care and love Azami, you just don’t leave a will for anyone. There is also the fact Senzaemon likely had to give his consent for a marriage to even take place. Honestly, Azami and his wife should’ve eloped and all their ties cut with the Nakiri family, the inheritance moving to Alice’s side of the family. But then again, I don’t think Alice’s parents were brought up right either. Seriously, who threatens to cripple a high school for just dating?! Still I doubt Senzaemon was really that heartless to his children's own feelings, but there were other options. At the very least, Senzaemon should’ve made a clause that only members with Nakiri blood can assume the role of director, which would prevent what just happened, though I don’t know if it’s better or worse having Alice’s father as director. Although, I still hold to the belief that Azami’s generation of the Nakiri line are at the very least all slightly loony.

Well, didn’t expect that, but I’m happy for Megumi. For a second I thought the judges were going to play up her food then vote for Hayama. But it does make sense for Hayama to loose, or at least be at a disadvantage. Personality traits aside, because that aspect was great, it seemed Hayama stepped outside his comfort zone when deciding to go with Japanese cuisine. He was unable to capitalize on his gift, and I would’ve thought he’d at least try to go for a fusion that uses his nose to the fullest. I don’t want to sound picky, but the battle might have seemed more natural if you switch the approach, with Megumi going for Japanese cuisine and Hayama traditional. When watching the show, I always thought of Megumi’s whole shtick as making her home proud. Whenever, there is a crucial battle, more often than not she falls back on what she knows dried vegetables, monkfish, etc. However, its also not a surprise these characters are stepping outside their comfort zone to challenge and progress themselves. Souma seems to be rubbing of on Megumi in terms of usage of nostalgia, flavour bombs, and flat out creativity (not that she didn’t have these traits before). A honestly superb chapter plot wise, but I think some aspects of the battle could fit with the characters better or be explained in a more in depth way. Also, nice Naruto reference.

This fic was actually my first fic into SnS. I haven't watched everything in the anime yet, but man... this fic really hooked me in even without my knowledge.

I find that impressive, dear author. After all, most of the time, one reads fanfics for their characters, but the fact that you reeled me in just by sheer writing when I have little to no background knowledge speaks of your prowess. (Although my little knowledge probably made me the least biased on ascertaining Takumi. :P)

Another thing I like is the use of multiple languages. Are you Italian or has knowledge of it? Or just Google translate? :P

But my favorite thing is the romance. There was no will they or won't they scenario, no frustrating 'JUST TELL HER/HIM ALREADY!'. In other words, no stretching of the couple's journey. I really love the fact that you established them pretty early on and made them work through their relationship; lots of romance stories deal with the 'before' of the ship, not the maintenance of it. It's really refreshing and well-done.

Anyway, amidst the multiple character cameos (are dullahans real in this AU?), awesome dad and grandad and OCs, I really can't put into words how much I enjoyed this. Kudos to you.
