I saved this for last. I wanted my heart filled with much happiness before this so it wouldn't hurt as much. this is a beautiful farewell filled with hope and much love. although I fear Anna won't last very long despite it all. I'm crying as I type this.

Ok this hurt my heart a little :/ but you've given it a hopeful ending-Which is lovely because, after all, john wouldn't want her moping around anyway. It's nice to see mary and Anna as equals finally and to have that recognition.

This was so brilliantly, heartbreaking, and moving story of so true life's ending journey for Anna and John Bates as well as the rest of the characters. I cried but I smiled as well. This touched my heart and is embedded in my soul. So beautiful...

Oh my poor baby Anna! I am crying along with her. But so nice to imagine that after all those years the Downton lot are still friendly. I don't know if I will ever recover from reading this... My heart! Thanks for sharing it though x

So much to love here. There long happy life. Being back at Downton. Their daughter married to George. Mary being Mrs. Napier. Thomas lurking supportively in the back. Mary's eulogy and hug. Just lovely! I will definitely re read this.

that was actually very beautiful, I almost didn't read it...I just can't handle thinking John is gone...and yes it was hard to read through the tears!

This is the first Anna/Bates story I've read - although I like the characters on the show I'm not really into them. But I read this since I thought you'd talk about the other characters and you did. I liked seeing what happened to the others.
I thought this was well written and an interesting perspective and I really enjoyed your story!

Beautifully written. Although it was a sad reason for such a reunion, I loved seeing everyone's futures and the glimpses into the happiest moments of their lives. Thank you so much for writing and sharing this.
