Okay... I'm definitely impressed with your writing skills. I mean, really... I'll just ramble here because I'm not quite sure of how to express to you what I felt reading that. It's absolutely beautiful, the flow is fascinating, FASCINATING! It has some parts that warm my heart (Amy and her bright, magical mood), others that made me feel a lump on my throat (like that description of Rick letting them touch while tipsy... It felt to hurtful...). It's a beautiful piece of work, I can't stop saying that. The thing with drawing lines and being hollow, the way Simon impacts him... For me it seems that you captured the exact core of Kieren and what Simon means to him. I'm not licking your boots or something, but I think this is the closest to the canon infatuation they have for each other. This is my favorite Sieren story (even if 'the sound of hooves' was perfect too)! I don't know... It seems that Simon is his anchor and his wings at the same time... He seems to mean so much to Kieren.. it's scaring yet lovely at the same time. I can't stop reading these last lines... Sorry for the messy review, I get emotional easily with good stories. This was absolutely flawless!
