Great start to your story! One small typo- you put "buy" when I think you meant "by."

So ... they drug her parents because they can't be trusted. Then they give information to the parents kid, because the kid can be trusted.

The knack is in her blood apparently ... but neither of her parents can know? Honestly, I'd show McGonagall the door if she were so arrogant to my family. Who'd want that kind of training for their kids? Or inversely, how could I respect an authority that so clearly disrespects my own flesh and blood?

As a plot device though, it works. Don't worry about grammar and spelling; you're doing very well, better than a lot of native speakers I know.
