While I'm sure you were deeply traumatized by whatever happened to you, I'm not sure you (or Yamaguchi in this story) were going into shock. While it may have felt like it, shock without a trip to the hospital is usually fatal.

I know the feeling. You cry and you feel like a loser for it, but you can't stop. It just keeps replaying in your mind.
