Oh, you echoed his words from the end of "Sleeper" when Kate came home! "Never soon enough." I don't know whether you did so intentionally, but I like it!

His plea: "Just let me love you" is heartbreaking. I'm not surprised she gave in. I just wish she had stayed, that she would at least try to give up the crusade for the sake of their marriage, rather than set aside their marriage for the sake of the crusade.

Nicely done fanfic to portray the utter sadness of the separation of two people who love each other so much.

I liked this, thanks for sharing. This is a type of conversation we are likely to witness in the upcoming episodes, or at least I hope we will. It's nice that you picked up that line from the promo where Castle says he wants to get into their cases because that's how they fell in love. It sounded odd to me, too, because not being in love with Castle wasn't the reason she left and she made it pretty clear to him in that end scene. Anyway, good writing, thanks again.

Your one-shot was well written and If you wanted to keep this realistic, you possibly achieved that goal, but this kind of scenario has been used by so many tv shows that I hope the new writers are a litttle more creative.
I didn't like the end, because Beckett leaving after they slept together only makes everything worse.

So Castle is just a pathetic loser to you. He's just suppose to back for the woman who abandoned him to come back to him. He's suppose to wait her out while she fights this unnecessary battle alone with her subpar detective skills. Whatever. As far as I'm concerned, as long as he loves Beckett, he's as good as dead anyway.
