Love where it's going! And love the sparse writing style.
Dreamwalker44 chapter 31 . 6/11/2018
*sniffs*... i just wanted them to be happyI can't believe I cried in almost every chapter. How did you do this? It must heve taken a lot time for thinking this up. Like, wow. Just wow.
I thank you so much for this story. I love the feeling when I actually get what's going on. It's like I was solving a very interesting puzzle.

I think my favorite lines were with the "if it rained/will you stay?" and the "I had a dream of the past". Those were really emotionally wreking parts that made me rethink if I was even ready for this kind of story.
But anyway, I really want to thank you for this amount of effort in your work. This fic is so wonderful yet eccentric, I don't think I'll be able to look at this ship the same way again...but

ah~ what an amazing experience. I enjoyed it very much.
acorbett96 chapter 31 . 9/24/2017
This was... an emotional rollercoaster of epic proportions. my husband's close friend says that the curse of intellectuals is the ability to forecast what happens in a story, whether it be a movie or a story, but this... I am not ashamed to say that I had no clue what was going on sometimes and I absolutely had to continue this story to know what would happen. As so many others have stated, this couple is usually done in odd ways, with smut (not complaining, I don't mind visuals of naked Gaara. Ever. ), lots of "fluff" and sometimes it's OOC and completely out of character, and even making no sense at all. But this, gave SO much depth to them and others, like Kakashi, that I completely fell in. The way your words flowed with the imagery, the symbolism, I was mesmerized by their relationship. Like one other reviewer said, they didn't even really get "physical" as adults and yet, the deep connection was palpable. I had moments where I even nearly cried. I kind of feel like I'm rambling, so I'll shut up lol but I seriously just wanted to thank you for the thought and dedication you gave this story and this wonderful pairing, and I do hope to read much more of your work in the future. You're amazing, and I sincerely hope to find your work on a bookshelf somewhere with a price tag !

I think there is only one way I can really think to describe this story. It was an emotional roller coaster. Happy, melancholy, sad, sweet...I never knew quite where it was going. Only one other fanfiction...or really, just one other story period, professionally published or otherwise, has beat out this story for emotional ups and downs and sudden left turns out of the blue. You nearly lost me at the section where Sakura was suddenly dead because I was OMG! What happened? This is so depressing suddenly! I am one of those people that loves happy endings since we get enough sad endings in real life. Why read more? But with all your hints about time, and your sudden turns in different directions, I felt like something would chance again if I stuck with it, and sure enough...

I took a peek at your reviews and was really impressed. You seem to inspire some pretty long reviews! That isn't something I see very often, and usually I am the wordiest one of the bunch. But I think some of your other reviewers have me beat! But it says a lot about how much you affected all these people to get them to want to communicate with you so much when they might not otherwise bother to leave more than a sentence or two - if you are lucky.

I really appreciate the good read, and your notes at the end were really interesting since I got to see a bit inside your head and what motivated you to make such peculiar, unique choices while writing this story. I think you have a lot of talent and could one day write some fascinating original works if you so choose. And fanfiction is a great way to hone your skills.

While I thought this story was really, really great, and I was very impressed, I think I need to go find something really, really, tooth-rotting happy to read! Its dark and its rainy, so I need cheerful to offset the atmosphere. :D
Winter Foxx chapter 31 . 11/1/2015
The emotions I felt while reading this were so real and kind of difficult to explain. I'm not sure why, but I think my favorite part of the story was when Sakura found him in the playground with blood splattered on his clothes. Everything about that scene was brilliant. The morning sun and her optimistic mood only to be contrasted by the killer look in his eyes and blood on his clothes - which seemed to darken everything around Sakura then. The sun, as bright and warm as it can be, can also show us things we don't necessary want to see - making us feel cold instead. So crazy to think about. Idk, I absolutely loved it.

Thank you for a wonderful, and stimulating, read!

OH MY LORD THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST GAASAKU STORIES IVE EVER READ!
Guest chapter 31 . 10/21/2015
poetryismyfirstlove (i had to comment even without logging in)

i loved how you wrote the story, the style, the flow and the use of metaphors. and thank you for your very comprehensive author's note, it helped. i got confused starting chap 23. so i guess it was just some alternate universe.
i'm not much into gaasaku but i'm very into sakura and i'd ship her with anyone provided the story was very compelling. and you got me, really. i've been checking almost daily for your updates.
and if i'm correct, you're a guy right? so it kind of surprises me how you got inspired to write this. or if it was based on one of your experiences. whichever, props to you for writing a lovestory that gives so much feels and that heart-wrenching longing for wanting someone out of reach. i could almost congratulate you for having the sensibility of a girl. (if i am wrong then you can just ignore this.)
it must be difficult to write a story where there is so much love but they still have so much to go through before they could act on it and be truly together. but knowing that after all those years gaara's love was finally requited gives me a contented feeling like it's enough for now. they'd get there eventually. and judging by your epilogue that someday doesn't seem so far away.
ArwenEllesar chapter 30 . 10/20/2015
It is astounding really, how much work was put into this creation. Astounding but not surprising because from the very beginning I was taken with this story and that takes effort and skill for a writer to accomplish.

Reading your own analysis of what symbols you used and meant to portray revealed the story in a new light. I honestly couldn't believe that all the imagery and symbols were put there intentionally for the purpose of a theme or motif. This was a fanfic afterall, and it is rare to find such dedication. I applaud you.

There was only one thing that wasn't very clear in the story was Gaara's reason for falling into depression. What I assumed was that he was finally accepting the fact that Sakura was married and was giving up on her ever being his. I did not think that it was because he couldn't achieve the peace that he belived Sakura would want. Perhaps I missed the clues and was too strong in my assumption but I truly didn't even catch a hint of this reasoning.

Your characterization of Sakura, Gaara, and to some extent Kakashi was pretty believable. Gaara was still a man of little words and Sakura still an overemotive person. You know what is very interesting? They felt more like real people than the anime and manga.

And even if the ending may feel like a cliff hanger, I am satisfied. It feels suited to the tone of the whole story which was this distant contemplative tone. You certainly did stay true to your theme of distance.

Overall, Bravo!
