I love this story you wrote I’ve read it so many times it is so fun to read, but I was wondering what happened to your older versions of the Jinx stories went? I really like them and compare them to the newer versions, I especially like the one with Rick, Abu, and Genie have their picnic interrupted by Jafar. I hope that you can put your older work put back on, but it is not a big deal if you don’t. Just giving you my support and love for your creative work and hope that you keep up good work, as well as more stories. Keep doing what you do!

Even though those who have watched the film (and read the original version of this story) know what comes up next, I like the revisiting, since it seems to delve deeper into Alaric's personality & relationships with Aladdin & the others. I hope you update soon :)

Did you ever hear of Babkak, Omar, and Kassim - Aladdin's three fellow "streets rats" who were cut from the original movie script and replaced with Abu, only to be re-instated in the live musical version? Having just come from watching that show yesterday, I was really eager to find a fanfiction detailing how Aladdin had met his three friends, though I haven't been able to do so. I visualized something much like what you have depicted in this frst chapter for Alaric for Omar, who's clearly the youngest and most timid of the three friends - I pictured Aladdin and the others having rescued him from something or other and basically having raised him as older brothers. I'm interested to read what you have here, and wanted to let you know about that script because if ever you wanted to write backstories for Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, I'd love very much to read that!

Alright so, I'm not dreaming and this is actually real. Wow, talking about starting this September in a good way. Though if I want to be honest, I thought if you would ever continue this series, you would work on the Final Installment, but oh well, can't really complain.

I won't say too much though this time, only mention the changes that I noticed from the original version. I'm well aware this is 'just' an upgraded version of the original one, with some changes and adjustments. Nothing wrong with that, although a part of me dislikes it a bit when I see the parts that were copied completely from the previous version. Oh well, gonna respect your decision though.

I liked the little part where they educated Aladdin and Alric. That was a nice scene and gave us a nice insight how they are now in the Palace plus the people who live/work there. Otherwise, it was kinda the same, plus the minor adjustments plus the lack of mention of the nightmares. I did like though that Alaric was still not fully eased and actually have doubts in himself being in the Palace. It's rather believable.

Now chapter 12...probably one of the best changes here having Alaric be the one giving Iago a chance and take full responsibility on him and even try to keep him in secret till he thinks it's fine to tell everyone else. It's way more believable than with Aladdin, considering that the 2 actually has a bit of a relationship already and we did see a bit nicer part of Iago's as well. I really hope with that the plot will change a bit as well, as now Alaric will be the one getting into trouble and maybe even anger the others. Excited to see what will you do with this nice change.

Other noticeable change was with the nightmares. Instead of Alaric trying to stay up, so he won't have nightmares, it looks like a yearly thing for him having these nightmares about his so happy past and while he doesn1t like them (who would like to have nightmares anyway?), he doesn't try to force himself to stay awake. Kinda wonder if we would have a scene with an actual nightmare in after Iago gets revealed to the others.

Rest is...kinda same as it was, tbh, though I liked what Genie gave to Alaric. Can't say much about it otherwise. Maybe a minor complain on how Alaric seem to just say what Aladdin did in the original movie at some parts, but I can understand why you did it that way.

Happy to see you writing this again and curious to see how you change it/improve it even more. :)
