Reviews for Imprint: Falling for Seth
Avacado chapter 2 . 8/6
One more thing;

I cried my eyes out when I read the part that Quil died! He was so sweet and even though it’s sad, I think it was a necessity for the story. It really gave Seth a reason and chance to open up to Chloe and let her comfort him.
Avacado chapter 2 . 8/6
I’m reading this for the second time now, and it’s still just as good as the first time I read it. :) Seth is one of my favorite characters, being so kind and funny, and it really boosts my ego to know that he has someone special ️

Once again sheer brilliance. Thank you for writing this.

Hi there.

Chloe's panic that Seth will "imprint on someone else" is kind of sweet, and really shows how insecure she still is that Seth actually plans on being with her long - term, a lot more than her nervousness when Seth explains it IS a life - long bond for him. Perhaps this doubt comes from the fact that her father cheated on her mother, so she thinks men can't commit permanently?

I appreciate the way Seth explains that an imprint bond is "a lot more than romantic love." I mean, we know that from canon, but I think it's important that he explains that to her. Romantic love tends to fade within a few years (which I'm sure Chloe is well aware of because of the "dad cheating"). Imprint love (and real love that couples work at) IS a lot more than that.

I like the reference to the Cullens donating their money to a lot of causes, too. I've always figured they did.

Seths' overprotectiveness about Eli's interest in Chloe is cute.

Nice that she's all right with everything, and I'm glad they have no more secrets. :)

As for what I'd like to see in the epilogue, I would definitely like to see Chloe meet Sue, as you told me you were planning on writing.
If you don't already have too many ideas to write, I'd also love to see a scene a few years down the road (or several years) when they have a baby. Perhaps they talk about the possibility of he/she becoming a werewolf as well and how they would handle that?

Hi there.

I appreciate that they're still trying to do their schoolwork, even thought they have a lot of distractions. I can understand distractions; I was in school once. But it always worries me when kids let any distraction become so important that they forget about their schoolwork.

Poor Seth, wishing he could've helped Quill. It makes sense that he went to vet school particularly to help his wolf brothers if they got into a fight, and he still wasn't able to help Quill because of the vampire venom. :( :(
I appreciate Chloe saying she wants to "be there" for him about Quill, though. Their relationship is really starting to have a balance rather than just "Seth helps Chloe with everything."

It's nice that Chloe could understand why killing vampires is sometimes necessary for Seth, though, although it took her a minute to comprehend.
Sara K M chapter 22 . 6/13/2017
Hi there.

Nice that she was able to talk to Taylor about her and Seth being "together" without the supernatural details. I'm sure it felt good to talk to a girlfriend like that about her new boyfriend.

Edward definitely has a point. Chloe is don't exactly what Bella did when she first realized the Cullen's were vampires, but drank animal blood. "I don't need to worry about them, because they're so nice." That's one of the things I really appreciate about the scene in NM when she cut herself. After that, she started to understand how difficult it was for them to resist.
Chloe, of course, has never seen them try to resist spilled blood, so she doesn't see that.
On the other hand, Seth also has a point where Edward tried to scare her like that. More than likely, nothing will happen, so she doesn't need to be scared to death of the Cullens.

Poor Chloe, when she realized Edward could REALLY read her mind. Nice that she appreciates Bella's shield.

I'm glad that Bella still likes to cook when she can. And now that they have Jacob as a part of their family, and are friends with some of the wolves, she and Esme can have more opportunities to do so.

Alice was so cute, all excited about meeting someone new, especially who enjoyed shopping. :)

I thought Chloe's desire to be more of a risk - taker again was interesting. I wonder if her cautiousness has anything to do with her grief because of her mother dying?

Love how she was able to admire Seth in his wolf form a little more this time. And how tactical she was with him (even before she climbed on his back) was cute.

Nice that Nessie and Chloe were able to have a talk just between the two of them about the lies she had to tell, what her life was like, etc. I appreciate the way Nessie explained the "danger" of being around vampires a little better than Edward did, too.
(That being said, I do think if Edward could resist his singer's blood, he's probably not a danger to anyone anymore. But the rest of them still could be.)

I can completely understand why you didn't want to break the chapter up, even if it was long. I have that problem with a lot of my chapters, too. I start out writing relatively short chapters, and then as the story continues, they keep getting longer and longer. And I think I should cut them back or split them up, but... I don't want to. :)
Sara K M chapter 21 . 6/13/2017
Hi there.

Although Chloe's waiting for the punchline when Seth first tells her the Cullen's ate vampires, it's obviously much easier for her to believe than when Seth first told her he could shapeshift.
That makes sense. She knows he was serious about the wolf thing, so she quickly realizes he must be serious about this as well.
I'm glad that Chloe isn't afraid of the Cullen's once he told her they only drink animal blood. I suppose it makes sense. After all, she's spent some time with them before and none of them tried to bite her.
Nice that she's all right with the lies Nessie had to tell, in particular. Nessie would hate to lose Chloe's friendship.

So sweet that they want to do something "normal" with their other friends.
Sara K M chapter 20 . 6/11/2017
Hi there.

This was a sweet chapter. Despite the fact that's a little overwhelming for Chloe that Seth can turn into a wolf, she's mainly focused on how great it is that she and Seth are now boyfriend/girlfriend.

I'd like to think that Chloe's mom would've like Seth, too, if she could've met him. On that level, I meant to tell you in the last chapter how nice it is that Seth plans on bringing Chloe to La Push for Spring Vacation, and that Sue is eager to welcome her. :) :)

Chloe's surprise that Edward used to sneak into Bella's room is hilarious. LOL.

And love the reaction everyone has to Seth and Chloe walking into class and the cafeteria holding hands. The universal signal for couples, especially those of the opposite sex. :)

I also appreciate the way Chloe is a bit uncomfortable that Nessie's already "in" on so many of Seth's secrets. Not in a jealous way (Nessie's obviously too in love with Jacob), but in a "she knows him better than I do," way. Now objectively speaking, there are good reasons why that is, but it's still evidence of that "imperfect Seth" that I was talking about that Chloe is finally beginning to see. :)

I like that Chloe is refraining from PDA until she asks Seth how he feels about it. A lot of teenagers and young adults seem to think more PDA more love, but that isn't necessarily true, and it's nice that she realizes people have different opinions about it.
Sara K M chapter 19 . 6/11/2017
Hi there.

Seth's excitement at how well Chloe took "secrets speech # 1" is cute, although it's certainly understandable that he would feel that way.

I also love how he's already making contingency plans if "Chloe can't tolerate the Cullens" "Chloe is okay with the Cullen's but doesn't want to be around them," etc. Shows how much her happiness means to him. Of course that's to be expected, but still. And he's correct. If some of the werewolves can be friendly with the Cullens, surely a human can handle it once she gest used to it.

I really appreciate how you wrote out Seth's discussion with Bella and Edward. This is your first Seth POV, and last night/this morning are big moments for him, so of course he has a LOT tot think about and you wanted show that. But the reality is to much introspection can get boring when you're reading. It's easier to have some conversation and/or action scenes as well.

Nice reference to between the "friends" vs. "smell/natural enemies" when it comes to too much physical contact between wolves and vampires. :)

I appreciate that Bella had decided to shield Chloe whenever she could, so they could keep their relationship more honest, and Chloe wouldn't get upset about Edward reading her. (Well, more than he already has, that is.)
Nice way to have Bella and Edward reminisce their "early days." That's what prompted the make - out session, wasn't it?
Sara K M chapter 18 . 6/11/2017
Hi there.

I'm glad Chloe explained that she wasn't afraid of Seth when he phased; she was just shocked. That's the impression I got when I read the previous chapter.

I do think people hearing Seth's own thoughts would bother him the least out of all of the wolves; as he didn't have much to hide and he was so excited to be one of them.
Although listening to Leah's thoughts couldn't have been fun. :( Poor girl though. Not only does she have to deal with the Sam - Emily drama (plus the lack of respect I'm sure the other pack members had for her because she was a girl) but also the guilt that she had that her phasing CAUSED her father's heart attack.

Interesting that you had Seth phase AFTER his father's heart attack. I read another version where Seth and Leah phased at the same time. Still, it does make sense that all the anger and shock that he was feeling that day made him phase. Lucky he didn't phase in front of the nurses :)

I completely agree that Harry's heart attack made Seth grow up fast. But I always thought he phased because there were so many vampires in that area at that point. (Because of Victoria's army.) Since they didn't have any more boys (or girls) direct decedents that were 16 - 18 years old, the "magic" had to start changing younger boys.

Becoming a doctor/vet so he could treat his "brothers" and tribe members DOES sound like something Seth would do. And it's nice to know the res. has another doctor who understands werewolf physiology, now that Carlisle isn't nearby.
Speaking of Carlisle, I enjoyed the reference to him when Seth was talking about Carlisle treating his leg.

I agree with Chloe on the age thing, though. It isn't really a big deal. I mean they're both legal and all, LOL. And Seth is still easy - going enough to relate to college students. And much like the Cullens, you can pass yourself off for a little older or younger, depending on how you dress and what you do.

Sweet that she wanted him to stay the night with her, so she'd know it was real. Really shows how much she trusts him, that she invited him like that.

P. S. I've heard most vets. spend nine years in college (Four years undergrad and five years grad.) Did Seth do a lot of summer classes and have a lot of extra credits?
Sara K M chapter 17 . 6/11/2017
Hi there.

Seth is really brave, deciding to go through with telling her about the wolves, etc. right away. Although he admitted he was tempted to wait, he knew that wasn't fair to Chloe, and had promised himself he'd do it "the right way."
It's also adorable how vulnerable this makes him. At this point, everything is about Chloe supporting him now. :)

AND now we're getting to the "real love" part of the story. Not only is Chloe realizing she has to support him, but she's realizing he's kept some big things from her, as well as lying to her about he condition of his leg. Granted, he had good reason for doing so, but it's nice that's he looks a little less "perfect" to her.

Poor Chloe, thinking he might be delusional and wondering if she he'd have to humor him. It's nice that she wasn't afraid of him though. She apparently takes his words, "don't be afraid, it's still me," seriously.
Sara K M chapter 16 . 6/10/2017
Hi there.

Well, one of them had to say something eventually. And Seth was obviously waiting for her to do so, with his patience and "desire to give his imprint what she wants." So I'm glad she finally got up enough nerve to do so.

I'm glad he's not planning on keeping the mythological secrets much longer though, as scary as it must be for him. That being said, him being vulnerable like that, is an excellent chance for their relationship to be a bit more equal, rather than just Seth helping Chloe though her grief, etc.

And of course Chloe thinks all he means is the culture of his tribe. Reasonable from her perspective.

It's so sweet that it was the first kiss for both of them.
Sara K M chapter 15 . 6/10/2017
Hi there.

Chloe may be taking the "he doesn't like me" a little far in this one, but then I DO understand it can be a big risk to try dating someone who is already such a good friend, especially if you're not 100% sure they feel the same way.
And I get the impression, because she didn't have much of a social life as a high school student, and she didn't get much responses to the guys she tried flirting with her first semester, that she has a bit of a low self - esteem?

I wonder what story Seth was trying to tell that Jake didn't want him to? Something that made Jake look bad, I assume. And it's true that Chloe got out of the way quickly, but I do wonder if Jake wasn't thinking about the risks of hurting people properly. Men don't usually think about "hurting" other guys, so they wouldn't worry about Adam and Dylan. And Nessie is almost indestructible anyway. But that's not true of Chloe and Megan. Do you think Jacob is being a bit too "relaxed" about risks like that, because his wife can't be hurt easily, or do you think Seth is just being a typical WAY too overprotective Twilight boyfriend?
Sara K M chapter 14 . 6/10/2017
Hi there.

Nessie was trying to sit close to Chloe so she would wind up leaning against Seth again, wasn't she? She's becoming a bit impatient, with her matchmaking. I suppose that makes sense, considering she knows "imprints" are supposed to be couples, and she wants her friend to be as happy as she is.

Still, I kind of think it's better to be more patient. (That "patience is better than pursuing" that Esme reflected on in YLOFA are my thoughts on that.)

I do wonder if Nessie would be naturally impatient or patient. I think Bella tends to be patient over all. I'm used to thinking of Edward as impatient, but that's only because I'm comparing him to Carlisle. :) When you compare him to the rest of the Cullen's, Edward IS patient.
Perhaps Nessie is just impatient about this one issue?

I appreciate the way you mentioned Nessie likes to renovate homes, rooms, etc. with Esme and Alice. It's nice that she has activities she enjoys with different members of her family. I also like the mention of Esme. This story doesn't have much to do with Carlisle and Esme, and I get that it doesn't lend itself to a lot of interaction/referring to them, but it's nice to know their not forgotten. :)
