I’m loving this story! Cassie is an excellent character and you’ve effectively moved through a good blend of supporting characters. I like how you’ve depicted Ace, too often in these tales does Ace lose his essence over seeing some pretty, shy girl who turns his life around. Ace is a gritty character and his proclivity for illicit behavior has been an interesting piece of his relationship with Cassie. Keep it up excited to read more!

So 28, good on Natalie to leave her toxic and abusive home, you go girl. As for 29 and 30, liking these new characters. Curious to see how they wrinkle the story.

I really like the dialogue between Ace and Cassie in that empty house. Good to know Ace has plans, though that last sentence, you know shits gonna get real soon.
