At last we come to the end of this journey, a amazing end for it and starting point for ludwig’s Story i knew it was coming although i wonder to what actually happened since on this universe nations leave corpses instead of just disappearing who’s behind it, was it that guy?
Indeed it’s incredible how ludwig changed gil so quickly, just like fritz when Prussia looked at the tiny baby smiling for him he feel in love, it’s admirable how he used his military discipline to become a good parent, gentle kind andcarefull awww Howe adorable~seeing him in his disparar seek Austria once again is fitting, despite their hatred they are the only ones who stayed through hard times.
Despite all that he will keep strong for Germany, for him he will keep together and become the greatest older brother ever!
As i said you have nothing to thank us for, i only regret not leaving the kick ass review you deserve but this sorry excuse for one...
i wish at least i can express my gratitude for your work, this is a lovely story and you deserve lots of recognition for it! Please keep writting and i will keep reading~

I was planing on only reviewing again once i’ve Ended this, however this chapter ... i just had to say something
I’ll admit i totally forgot the upcoming wedding, that was indeed torture for gil... if you ask me he behaved pretty well during it, someone should recognize his efforts specially since Austria was the one who started it, that and Prussia tried to stop it by leaving before it got out of control pity Austria did not let him, even then Prussia hardly said anything insulting actually he opened his heart to everyone finally spilling what he has felt for centuries not even hitting him so yes he deserves at least a thanks from Liz.
He should had sent that letter, it would have been hilarious!
On saxony ... is that injury enough to kill him? It was horrendous and since it was deep in his face it bleed a shit ton, did he die from the blood loss? Other than that idk how he would have died so quickly, i related so much with Prussia... reflexes during attack situations get the better of us ... i too am guilty of such accidents thankfully nowhere near to killing anyone, also lets just say,i understand what saxony was feeling a little to well so all considered i agree he would fear death the least.
That. Being said the accident was saxony’s fault, he attacked Prussia both physically and emotionally, what he said was meant to cut deep, finally someone said the bringing back h.r.e thing! Thankfully on his last moments he got to apologize and clear up things with his younger brother, for the first time people understood Prussia not jumping with hate.
That guy obviously knows why saxony hasn’t been reborn, he just tested Prussia to see if he had figured it out yet, i like that one, someone that thinks like me seeing the death of almost a whole family coming.
Prussia determination to create a unified Germany is beauthyfull absolutely pure, he just does not get what such a act will result in... yes he does have self interest in it but it is not just that, i agree that Austria and France were just fearful of what he could do better what a union under his control could do.
Shit is getting real time for the real show to begin! Now he understands what he is meant to do, he has a dream and people who support and trully believe in him, he not only want to be great but wants to create something together with his family to break the limits! After everything he has been through its the perfect conclusion for his character arc the realization he wants to be strong with others around him, after struggling to do everything alone, fighting by himself, feeling the disparar of loneliness, grief and sorrow now he seees Germany as the objective he was meant for, now he wont have to be alone anymore, so on a personal level his passion over this is perfect! The thing is even though this is gonna cost him the family he was trying to join he will get something else, Germany a little brother her created and resides, the one who never leaves him and stands with him for better or worse, all he has been longing for.
All and all tragically sweet! It is the peace he has seemed for his whole life and after all this i can not wait for him to get it, the perfect conclusion for his journey of lonely fighting berrais and discriminated the gift for all just pain, indeed lovely
Better yet he finally has the support of his love Liz who understands him, with all this he’s on the path of greatness, thanks for all this again and as you said this is only the begging!

So close to the end now! Finally the moment we are all waiting for the birth of the German empire is coming!
Obviously everyone else asides from Prussia shall disapear\ die! If you call both by ludwig then we have to differ them, now on his death i have to congratulate you on a good job, it was so simple, peaceful and uneventful just what he deserved after so long suffering, i love the sentence “ i want to be dead not dying “ i find it hilarious for how true it is, at any case it served as the occasion for the frying pan trio to get together

Prussia always hated Austria, initially no good reason, this is very mutual of course, over the time as you show they do get plenty of reason though, however Austria is such a bitch, really being so stuck up distrustful of Prussia as if he was a saint using dirty tricks constantly, it was extremely low of him to bring up prussia’s Breakdown during that meeting... really they are just full of envy for one another, Prussia cause Austria has everything he dreamed of without fighting and Austria cause he sort of lacks what Prussia has so fears loosing his place.
Hungary ... i can’t decide if she really loves Austria or not, at many times it sounds like i have been with him for so long, he loves me so i mentalizes myself to love him to, to me it seems like unknowing she loved Prussia before but after so long without him she sort of moved on to the guy constantly with her, those moments between gil and Liz are simply to honest and obliviously lovingly,Austria notices it he must see how close they are, after so long fighting they recandidatura so quick problably quiquer than he got together with Hungary...

Can i just say fritz is awesome! I’m a fan of him from the get go but his relationship with Prussia here is just amazing! I loved you dedicated a shit ton of time to him, i mean we got to see his life unlike with the rest of humans, seeing them care for one another was adorable! Shit if i was smirking as an idiot at their interactions
Up to now this arc has been my favorite by far! The 7 years war specially, personally i believe during the most extreme circumstances you trully see how people care\ love ... both extremely brave, fritz as a character here is incredible, first Prussia as his caretaker, then he was the one taking care of him, also truly admirable of him taking responsibility over his friend, it fits the historical figure and in the story seeing him acknowledge his faults taking care of the pain he has caused really gets to me!
The coronation scene was just... memorable, again very historically accurate damn it sounded like a declaration of pure devotion to Prussia, almost like his god, if that isn’t a act of true love\adoration idk what it is, i sort of expected Prussia to finally just say yes i do! It could have been aa proposal and a very awesome proposal at that
The best part was dear gil reaction, very flustered, very cute!

This is messed up but whatever, Prussia in his half delirious state is so cute! Here he really acts like a kid, fritz literally carries him around hat given his age is quite impressive even if Prussia was under weight
Now on Prussia and his hatred,i shall say i relate far to much, when the world keeps treating you like something beneat you cause of things you can not control no matter how hard you try to show them otherwise after so long you ask yourself why bother trying, if they are gonna treat ou like a beast anyway may as well have the profit since the blame it’s stuck on your shoulders, adding to the mix his loneliness that is very well justified, the way the world seems to be against him since the beginning he had to fight to exist, he worked so hard for everything still no one recognizes his efforts only critiques his violence, accusing him over things he had to do, when you look at it war is war, humans slaughter one another why would their personifications be any different? It’s kill or be killed breaking someone’s legs is nothing, if anything it’s actually mercyfull since it disables the country for a while without killing or permanently damaging them ensuring they do not return to battle in the near future how i see it if they do not kill each other then they do have to at least incapacitate their opponents else it is just useless repeat over and over

So... on this particular chapter... as i said bittersweet just my taste, yet it confirms prussia’s Fear are unfortunatly very real, finally he faces his feeling instead of hiding, i admire him for that * guilty of the exact same*
There’s another spark of hope neither of the brothers knows, hen holy Rome does die\ idk if he dies and gets reencarnated into the German confederacy or if some other weird thing like memory loss happens, at any point as Germany the h.r.e finally unifies under prussia’s Lidership and ludwig as our Germany is the person who never leaves Prussia, who follows and stay together ... the one who leads to his death... at least Prussia never has to endure losing him
On austria’s Comment on how to defeat him, well first of he can ask Poland since technically he did defeat Prussia as a kid, second well he just has to wait a few centuries to see, depending on who you ask it’s either 1917\18, 1947 or 1989\911 or for you optimist never... shit i meant killing Prussia... still if world war 1 and 2 aren’t massive defeats idk what is... now i think on it maybe Austria does defeat him after all, you know who’s Austrian?... ok sorry offensive i know ...
On prussia’s Comment on American wild life, i feel ya bro, just you wait until you see Australia damn if everything wants to kill you there...

I knew it! I sensed tragic moments from miles away
This was an amazing chapter! Don’t apologize for it, i mean ... this is n historical fanfiction, lots of Germanic states appear ... well now there’s only Germany so seeing as you’re retelling alll German history starting from Prussia it’s a given lots of characters will die, actually all German states aside from Austria and some few that mostly were independent at this point were dissolved.
Personally i’m Pleased with how you wrote her death, as with their relationship it was simple nothing overdramatic she just passed away on her lovers arms, feels very realistic to me, also bittersweet and so so very peacefully right, at least she had that last blessing of spending her last moments on her lovers embrace, if you think about it for both sisters this was the only way to carry on, neither would handle the guilt of killing the other at least this way they can together find peace.
Ok i admit i’m Fucked up in the head so to me it’s enduring, sweet even ...
I really relate o Prussia back there... shock hits in different ways, for me it’s similar to his holding her dead body petting her while whispering to her...
... for that i support his reaction to Austria is indeed on point, from experience holding on to the first person you see\ someone you do not have emotional ties to happens a lot...

Yay finally! I mean coming Freon the future i know i’m Not even through half of this still it really feels like a real accomplishment!
For this i’m Gonna take the time to comment on the story up to now.
To be completely honest i was not a fan of the wedding idea, idk just did not feel right between those two, however alike Prussia somewhere along the way i started to grow fond of their relationship, it’s the comfortable companionship no great intense passion from the first sight shit, instead it comes off as very tal to me, the care that comes from sharing your life with another, the trust all of it is spot on! Congratulations on achieving a perfectly natural development of a relationship !
I wouldn’t really call it romantic love, it does not have to be, it’s enduring to watch them now, thanks for not ruining it with needless seed scenes, the small gestures are way more meaning full, also it really does not fits them...
Hungary was a bitch on her apperence, makes perfect sense historically, does not change the angst poor Prussia goes through.
Prussia as a priest is priceless! He keeps bullying himself through it, his interactions with Hungary when they stay in Italy are very sweet,childish as hell also akward, kissing a sleeping girl... not priest behaviour...
those scenes when Prussia talks to god inside his head also killed me! How he stays watching the endulgences rationalizing his sins... how he asks if he deserves something... hilarious
Now on the wedding itself, it sort of worked out as funny, at least i enjoyed the inicial part of Prussia delusional talk with the humans, it takes balls to call a prestigious priest death, a king plate and an emperor famine.
Again holy Rome is indeed right when he speaks of prussia’s Destiny, by all means it sounds like delirious bullshit although it is what ends up happening, to bad holy Rome is not there to see it, or is he? Since you go with reencarnations it makes sense now a days Germany being h.r.e reencarnated.
Let’s just say it Spain acts like a complete asshole, combine it wiah my dislike for Austria you have quite the couple.

So obv still in the beginning of this, totally hocked up on your lovely story!
I felt like i had to say something after this chapter, oh fuck if i loved it! It’s so conflicting for Prussia, right now he feels even more different and alone than ever, the people he consider family turned their backs on him, Poland the one he had been fighting for ages is the only one to be there on such an important day, then after all that the talk about holy Rome just fed the insecurities, doubts and fears inside his heart... seeing your own grave is akward to say the least ...
i found myself also wondering poland’s Real intentions, he’s obvious sneaky, although his actions in the past do support the idea he does somewhat care, he had a shit ton of chances to kill Prussia, actually it’s more than that since he went out of his way to prevent him from dying so lots of questions ...
As for holy Rome ... i think his reaction is more that understandable, he’s dying as been for a while and he is very much aware of it, he thought Prussia would be his salvation ... then Prussia becomes independent from everything , of course holy Rome would feel betrayed, in his mind his last hope just ditch him
Also totally understandable he would bring all the regions to make his stance clear, ignoring his personal anger he had to do it, as an empire that from the get go had a very frágil existence seeing how the states didn’t unite and often had conflicts between one another he couldn’t afford to risk anyone else following prussia’s Foot straps and leave him
I wonder how old does Prussia look like now? It’s been a while since someone comments on it but as Poland says he’s taller than holy Rome I’m gonna roll with at least 12.
That guy has a brilliant sense of opportunity, choosing to have the let me try parent ou talk when Prussia really needed it, totally got want he asked for, it must have blown his expectations!
But he did bring up a good point, hundreds of years old or not he’s still a kid, unfortunatly for what we see he wasn’t often given the chance to just act his age, it’s more than time his allowed to do so.
Ok concerning the story so far, i like it as said before it’s not heavy history stuff, personally I’m way more of a sucker for the super heavy historical stories although here i don’t feel like its lacking, the story envolves history of course but most of all your focus is on the characters themselfes, how they grow and experience things as individuals so it’s fine as it is.
England is an asshole here, i wont even comment on the state wales is in ...
The Prussia x Hungary has next to no history supporting it, I’m adoring it none the less! Idk who’s more oblivious between those two ...
On that note aren’t some characters growing up to fast? I mean i get hetalia isn’t the clearest with ages since as we see here countries aging depends on how their nation is doing, still ... since you kept the hole Hungary not figuring out her gender thing shouldn’t veneziano keep wearing dresses until his voices breaks? That and in the good bye scene when holy Rome sees him for the last time he still wears a dress, then again Hungary only wears female clothes after that battle if i remember right during the Austrian war of succession scenes where Prussia finds her in the middle of the florest, yet in most chibitalia scenes she always appears in her green dress...
After that last thought i should drop this but again I’m pretty damn sure at least physically Poland and Prussia looked the same age as kids... ok I’m gonna stop
All and all I’m definitely stuck with this... problably gonna stay stuck with it for quite a while seeing how not only is this a massive story but it’s only the first part of 3...

I just finished reading both Cross Your Heart and Hope To Die, and I just have to say that this is fantastic. You got me hooked on an OC, something I never thought possible. Brandenburg is simply perfect and makes me upset no one else has a female character like her who legitimately cares for Prussia. If she was made official, I'd switch from PruHun to PruBrand in a heartbeat. Furthermore the struggle of Prussia kept me reading the whole way through as his motivation continued to evolve. I do have some issues with the story, such as Prussia getting persistently humiliated (nearly all pre-Napoleon Hungary moments come to mind), the Six Weeks War and the Thirty Years War not being given as much coverage as I think it should have (especially since the SW War was the final fight between Prussia and Austria), and mayhaps a touch too many public breakdowns. Plus the ending of the series seemed anticlimactic somehow. I can't explain why, though. Even so, I still happily recommend this to anyone into history or Hetalia. It's easily one of my favorite Hetalia fanfics.

The ending chapter for CYH, though, really got to me. There is a Dark Music piece by Adrian von Ziegler called The Sealed Kingdom. As I was reading about Prussia searching for his family, I could hear that piece playing in my head. Imagining him desperately going from province to province with that song playing makes the disappearance all the more depressing. I love it.
