This is one of the best fanfics I have read. I read all these chapters straight thru and some of them had me on the edge of my seat worrying about Deeks. It was powerful.

Okay, apparently I missed something, because I have no clue just what it was Deeks supposedly said that Kensi looks like she's going to blackmail him about?

The chapter itself was good, and a solid ending to an enjoyable story. I'm sure Kensi, and maybe Nell, will catch holy hell from Hetty (like that alliteration? ;) for misuse of the computers and digging into a file that Hetty wanted kept closed, but it was a nice gesture on Kensi's part, even if it didn't go quite how she wanted. It was a nice twist you threw in that part of why Doug was upset was basically at himself for being happy the uncles are gone.

I'm the Guest that you mentioned in your A/N who reviewed both chapters 6 and 11. While I might disagree that Deeks wasn't in a position to shoot Jerry (in chapter 6), since he took the time to search them both for keys and phones and so was thinking well enough to do so, I can let it go as just a simple difference of expectation - no problem.

As for 11, while you never specifically referred to medical school, in chapters 4, 5, and 7, you called Doug an intern. That's someone who has graduated medical school but is not yet licensed, and is completing their internship. I'm certainly no expert on nursing, but I've never heard a nurse referred to as an intern (by itself - see below), and even those placements are usually referred to as externship, practicum, or clinical placement by the students I have taught at my university. Perhaps it's different in other schools or parts of the country/world, but the only time I've heard the term intern used with nurses is just that - Student Nurse Intern, or Nursing Intern - but never by itself.

*shrugs* Not a big deal, but wanted to answer your post so you knew where I was coming from. I look forward to your next story.

Nice little wrap-up, including the story of Deeks and Doug. But Deeks should be in trouble - he didn't set the alarm when she left.

Also, one thing you should correct: It has to have been at least 9-10 years since Deeks met Doug, not 6. If Doug was a sophomore in high school, that's 2 more years there, 4 years of college, and 3 years of med school before his internship. Just FYI.

So Marty didn't take the opportunity to shoot Jerry in the knee, or do something to otherwise incapacitate or slow the giant down? Yeah, that was dumb, and I imagine it will come back to haunt him.

Really enjoyed the story but have to admit being surprised that Kensi left him. Honestly I thought she would be camped out in his apartment. Oh, wait, maybe she is camped out in her car watching the place.

"Cleaning her gun with a disturbing amount of intensity" is a great line and so true to the character. Just stumbled upon your story while looking through the Fanfic, and since it features my two favorite characters, I'm hoping to read all the chapters tonight.

I just discovered this gem of a fic and read all 11 chapters in one sitting. Marvelous! There's far too few Deeks-centric stories lately...this one fills that void nicely. Can't wait to see where it's going!
