You're right, it is OOC. In fact, if this were to actually happen then the moment Weiss gives Jaune that reason why you suck speech it wouldn't make him depressed nor more determinated.

Instead it would cause him to snap at Weiss and tell her to leave him alone and to not train him out of pity or because she feels forced by someone else. Jaune has his pride too remember? He's not just everyone's bitch.

Rather than OOC, you missed out some details that are present in canon, which kind of jars the experience (for example, Jaune HAS seen Weiss smile. In fact she was laughing quite loudly at the end of 'Best Day Ever'). However you are my favorite Jaune and Weiss pairing in the forum (just like Xekstrin is a god of writing one shot apocalypses and androids), and many others definitely feel the same. Don't stop writing!
