So... I'm really glad I followed a link on Alex' blog and read this even though Pw/oP isn't my usual read. The wording of the first phone conversation made me cringe but that may have been intentional to set off the call with Kate. In the second part Rick still came off as a little too cocky for my taste, but it fits the (pre-) Season 1 Castle. Beckett however, I found to be perfectly in character. And the actual sex scene was very, very well written - tasteful yet with a healthy dose of spice! No need to worry about your abilities there! I have to agree with a few other reviewers, Kate's reaction to their encounter and the meeting at the book party would be a perfect follow-up. :)
