Funny how Sonic easily eat those words in Forces... Literally busted out laughing!

The Japanese like words that Sonic and Sash say before their final attack on Carol and Tails and launching off of the green orb that surrounded the Death Egg... what do each of those phrases mean in English?

Wow, that's a pretty strong second chapter there. A lot of good choices and calls on your part.

You know, you really have a knack for character interactions and development, I gotta hand it to you. Not only have you done a good job capturing the strong partnership of Sonic and Tails and the family bond between Lilac and her friends, you've managed to develop them individually and give them great scenes that show how important each character is. You waste nothing in your narrative, you tell us what a good story should be, with the characters like they should rightfully be.

Splitting the teams so we could get great individual looks into their new relationships (Sonic and Lilac on one side, Tails and Carol on the other) was genius, it makes the story easier to follow, lets you focus on the main relationships and creates potentially great scenes such as the epic fight against Eggman's mech or that badass chase sequence with Carol and Tails. They're entertaining and they serve a purpose, well done. Also, I really enjoy your shared scenes a lot, I think Carol and Tails can make a sweet and lovable couple, not just because, but rather because of how you have them interact. Thanks to the positive influence and feedback of his new friend, Tails lets go of his doubts and worries to become his best self and go full hero against all the odds. His scenes with Carold did a splendid job establishing their dynamic, with Carol cheering for him and seeing him as a cool guy which further heals his self steem. Despite what games like Forces have made it seem like, Tails is no one's bitch, he's a hero on his own, you nailed that.

As for Sonic, what can I say? His entrance was terrific, he was cool but what really made my day was when he got frozen and Lilac's reaction to it. Good job on the realism and tension, I feel like there's some small degree of sexual tension between Sonic and Lilac but without it being overdone or mishandled, it's just natural. Neera may come off as a jerk but one can see her reasoning, she's keeping it professional and doing her job. And boy, Milla sure is adorable. I like your realism when it comes to a character's wounds, both physical and mental, it's gritty and engaging and it shows that in your battles, every single blow counts. That's a good way of creating stakes as opposed to the cartoony style of current Sonic.

I'm rather pleased with the way you tell the story, it's so neat and complete that even those who haven't followed Freedom Planet closely won't have to feel lost, thanks to your quick recaps and callbacks to the game. You also win points for those amazing callbacks to previous Sonic games, it gives us a good idea of when in the timeline this is set and of how far Sonic and Tails have come.

Eggman's scheme this time around is indeed very creative, I loved how you had him pull Mobius and Avalice next to each other because it's the perfect way of having the adventure reach across both worlds, thus giving us a unique scenario rather than making the story either "Sonic goes to Avalice" or "Lilac goes to Mobius" which makes your story all the more special. Super.

I've always thought that Sonic's world and lore have so much potential for good stories that they're sadly wasted in the videogames nowadays since it's all gameplay and style over substance. Here you have a great twist on that, crafting a marvelous plot that couldn't happen in a game but for a fanfic it's simply wonderful.

I have so many good things to say about you and your fic that I think it's better if I get on with it quick.

This concept of yours is awesome, it's thematically perfect and very creative. Sonic and Freedom Planet are a gorgeous mix and they make a lot of sense. I don't think there's nearly enough crossovers on this awesome union nor enough attention to it, but what you're doing here easily makes up for it. Wish this had more following but what matters is that it exists. Moving on.

You brought the characters to life beautifully. Your Sonic and Tails are spot on, and I'm very fond and appreciative of your take on Lilac and her friends. Your descriptions were alright, it's a good way to update their designs to date and let us know while also reminding us of how they have changed since the war against Brevon.

Your buildup has been pretty good, I think it's awesome how you take your time to flesh out the plot instead of just jumping and rushing things like the Sonic games do nowadays. You hand us some fine and lengthy complete chapter that lead from one to other swiftly.

You can count me interested, your work has been nothing short of art and it provides a good fun read for fans of both properties. This is exactly where fanfics like this excel and outdo the source material, by just telling a story without gameplay in between, you can just focus on telling that story and making it a good one. And it's brilliant.

Good story, but I am somewhat amused. Avalice doesnt seem prone to nudity, so I expected a reaction of some sort when Sonic and Tails just show up stark naked. Not only that, but Lilac gave Sonic a hug in the middle of having a spa bath. I doubt she wore anything during that either. How shameless is she exactly? XD

The story has got good work put into it, the attire descriptions are tab bit difficult to understand, but I'd really fancy the plot as is so far, and can't wait to click the next chapter.

Very solid and creative story, my only feedback is that you make sure not to make too many grammatical errors that don't sound right, such as two "nearly" in the same sentence and so on, but keep up the good work!

But, and I'm not sure if you know, Carol's sister's name has been revealed for FP2 already. Corazon "Cory" Tea.

Are you gonna keep it as Coral because it's an AU? Not gonna complain, just curious.

Also, Cory's gonna be voiced by one Lindsey Jones, voice of Ruby Rose from RWBY! So hyyyype!
