Can we get a link to the new writer? and it's a real shame you don't enjoy the new season or RWBY in general. Will you be continuing your other storys?

Sad but understandable I guess. kinda annoyed that I found this amazing story only for it to be discontinued, I guess I can expect alot of that during this volume but hey I can't control what people think. I know I'll still be writing mainly rewriting my stories. Like I said before I understand your reasoning for "giving up" but if RT can keep trying to finish what they started why can't you. Wow that sounds way more harsh than I wanted it to, what I mean is you've lost interest in the reason you write fan this fiction that makes sense lots of people have, however RT lost the creator of the show and kept going, they're going to finish it without the person that started it. The thing that started this fan fiction in the first place is still here and not going anywhere except through the ground. But that's why fan fiction exists, so we can make it better and add our own twists. Now I'm not saying rewrite the transcript and upload that but fan fiction is your own story using things from a show or a game. Holy shit this is a long comment anyway to wrap this up could you at least add a closure to the story even if its a 200 word time skip just something to put us at ease. Sorry for the long and harsh comment but I needed to get that of my chest. I wonder if I can copy and paste this on other stories, oh look at that I can.

Yikes, I haven't watched vol 7 yet (so thanks for spoiling ;) ) but now that I think about it, I really don't remember any of the previous seasons but the first few seasons are pretty fresh in my mind.
Grimm has also become like a reverse deus ex machina, popping in at inopportune times to (poorly) invoke suspense. It's just such a shame that you're discontinuing. None of the current rwby fics have been any good and it's pretty disappointing in that regard.

Maybe in the future, if I found the time to write, you could pass on The Rose Thief to me? xD

You know, I haven't seen any of 7 yet, even though I'm RT 1st. And while I don't have a strong opinion on the current state of things, there is one thing I can always count on. Fics.

People have had problems with source material, and routinely DO make superior fan material in response. I'm not saying "why don't you do it better, then?", I had just always assumed that fanfic writers do what they do sometimes to address things they think can be done better. Because if there was no potential for better, no one would bother with fan works, right?

What I AM looking forward to is more of this fic. AND your work. I hope you find your muse and finish! Good luck!

If you're unhappy with RWBY, stop watching it. I still love it, volume 7 has been amazing so far and I'm now unsubscrubing from this story because frankly, this is not what I read fanfics for.

I agree with you on a lot of these points. Although, in my head I don't expect Ruby to jump for Joy at seeing Penny. She was a robot most of saw her return coming...but not the characters.

If nothing else, Ruby shoulda had some ttears or kneejerk reaction and while I havent watched since Vol 4, I barely Keep up and know how they are TRYING to make her character. And if what you say is true and she literally did nothing and not even confused tears...thats disheartening and disrespectful to the character. hell, I thought something like Penny's return would END an episode not be during it.

You know, until I read this, I actually considered forcing my way through season 7. Season 6 was decent in my opinion—at least the fight scenes were good, which is what carried RWBY in its early seasons IMO. The only thing RWBY ever had going for it was cute girls with mecha-weapons and well choreographed fight scenes. Season 3 was the only season with anything else really going for it. Seasons 4 and 5 didn't even have that and from the sounds of it, season 7 will be too painful otherwise to enjoy that.

RWBY takes itself too seriously, I think. It should have stayed what it was at the beginning, and if that meant ending 4 seasons ago because that got boring then so be it, it would have ended as a fun show instead of murdering everything it had accomplished and trudging along as a zombie. Magic—Ozpin, Salem, the Maidens—was a mistake.

Sooo you necrom a fic that’s been dead for, what, a year to have a half arsed rant about the new volume? Yeah, I wouldn’t call myself disappointed. More in Line with “baffled” or “pissed off”.

Feel free to not like the series, or whatever, that’s fine, I don’t care. But this story, this fanfic, is not the place to do that. Try Reddit. Try YouTube.

I get how you feel, the only watching I'm still watching RWBY is because I've been watching it since volume 2, I don't want to quit just like that even thought volumes 4-6 have been awful

Hey I know how you feel and honestly I felt the same way however if you pirate the second episode it does in fact get better trust me maybe not redeemable but it can offset the negative sway a bit just wait till episode two that’s all I ask
