Reviews for The Avatar Remix: Book One: Water
Cat on the table chapter 4 . 7/9
Wow! Your writing is excellent— the characters are perfectly in character in their situations, this is amazing! Please update!
poisonquiver chapter 1 . 12/28/2019
This was really good and interesting. Wish there was more. Oh welk
BendingMetal chapter 4 . 12/18/2018
I love everything about this. You've done a masterful job keeping each character true to themselves while also adapting them to the different nations. I'm excited to see what other characters you bring in and how you subvert their roles from the show.

If you need a beta please let me know!
Guest chapter 2 . 4/1/2018
the premise is good but the execution was lacking, resulting in a lackluster tone :(
Gunkas Fee chapter 4 . 2/21/2018
This is weird. This is funny. This is glorious. The different positions don't seem forced, the characters feel natural and very IC despite their different backgrounds from canon. I'd like to read more!
bwayfan25 chapter 1 . 12/8/2017
This is probably the most creative Avatar AU I’ve read yet. You manage to capture the essences of the characters as they are in canon as well as who they are in their AU roles. Well done.
lingerintheshadows-2 chapter 4 . 9/8/2017
FANTASTIC IDEA! I dont know... i just love this piece. Please continue! I am VERY lookinh forward to it! HAPPY WRITING!
2 chapter 4 . 5/27/2017
The scene in the cabin? With the boys and Toph being angry made me straight up giggly. Because how can I not think of the many encounters Sparky will be having with both of them when we already know the general plot! *screams in silent zutara moments (not that I ship them {not that there's anything wrong with that})* Makes me wonder if Toph and Aang would have the same duel in the North Pole. It would surely be amazing to see but you might switch it up which is fine because your style in writing is just sooooo good... Still tho...
Three chapters have made me into a blubbering mess, gawd.

I really like the relationship of Aang and Zuko, too. Very nice bond plus the personalities are so just like Sokka and Katara, yet what you would expect woth two brothers.
ALSO! Also, the slight mentioning of Aang's hair beads things was bloody fantastic! That small detail had set me off because it was just so thoughtful of you.
1 chapter 4 . 5/27/2017
Oh Gods, this is so good! You are so talented and honestly this story is just so wonderful.

The thing with Bumi and Toph is just amazing! Dang, and how it resembles the original relationship with Iroh and Zuko is delightful but was still significantly different and just plain perfect, I tell you.
Specially with how you can already get how Toph came to be when looking for the Avatar. Being viewed as helpless and all that. Also, Yue was such a nice touch and a breathe of originality that never fails to amaze.

Then there was how Sokka was still being the sarcastic jerk but with airbender qualities and avatar responsibilities that reminds just how underrated he is because, amazingly, there was never a hint of him being OOC in what you wrote! He's pure joy! And the backstory of the storm is so cool because it's creative.
FireRuby chapter 4 . 5/27/2017
Wow, I love it! Nice job on creating something familiar yet entirely different! ;)
Gray Jedi 4000 chapter 2 . 4/19/2017
Aw crap. The Southern Water Tribe is so doomed. (Toph! Please, go easy on them! They don't know your awesomeness like I do!) Also, is Lao Beefing switched with Ozai?
Gray Jedi 4000 chapter 3 . 4/19/2017
Oh, boy. Sokka is in for a shock.
Laurie chapter 3 . 9/12/2016
Funny? Yes. Surprisingly well characterized for a light bit of humor? Totally. Without your hints: Zuko's blue eyes and Aang's hair beads, for example, I'd visualize the boys as they look in the cartoon. I still do, some. Toph's adaptation to blind fire bender is actually kind of brilliant. Very fun and sharply written.
Rosie Banks chapter 2 . 8/17/2016
WOW! You are a really good writer! I love this and how long your chapters are! I think it might be even better than the real show! But could you please describe how they all look, because I'm confused. Does Zuko look like Sokka and does Sokka look like Aang? Also, does Toph have the burn?
atrt7900 chapter 3 . 8/16/2016
Sokka wtf do you think you're doing, rip Zuko and Aang haha

I gotta say though, I love how it's not just copy and paste of the original story. The characters still retain their canonical selves. Toph and Bumi are just a delight to read as well as their interactions together. I aboslutely love the sibling relationship aspect for Zuko and Aang (because I freaking love Zuko and Aang's relationship, and this just improves it by so much). And Sokka's still as goofy as ever, though completely naive and inexperienced. I like that. When Aang was the Avatar, yes he was still naive but still willing to take responsibility. As for Sokka? He still has a lot more to learn, but he's still very realistic to his canonical self. I can't wait to see Katara later too, even though she won't appear for a long, long time.

Best of luck! I'll be following this story :)
