I prefer Jade- for now. When Jade becomes the 'popular' cat, I think I might actually pity Amberpaw and prefer her more. But that's a maybe. Which do you prefer? (I'm pretty sure that you prefer Jade, by the A/N, but I wanted to be sure)

Wow, haha, Amberpaw really gets on my nerves, especially with how much she's coming across as a Mary-Sue type character. I mean, getting advanced battle training without ever having trained in battle techniques before? She's getting a little cocky, and fighting so well on her very first try is only going to feed her ego even more. And not to mention how popular she is already, even with cats from other Clans... Though I think this was kind of your intention, wasn't it? She's supposed to seem a little overly-perfect and increasingly arrogant over time, isn't she.

I like Jade a bit more so far, though I have to wonder how she'll manage to get so popular in ThunderClan, especially coming from outside the Clans. In terms of popularity, she would already be at a huge disadvantage to Amberpaw just by not being born in ThunderClan, I would think, even if Amberpaw wasn't already the most popular she-cat there. On a totally unrelated note, I loved Jade's conversation with the two kittypets - Samson and Delilah were so naiive yet very sweet, and I thought the comments about the vet were pretty funny.

Nice job on the story so far!

Hmm, it's obvious that Amberpaw is highly favored by everyone else in the Clan, and it's starting to give her a bit of an ego. It's almost to the point where I'm already annoyed by it, even this early on in the story. But then again, I guess I can't really expect anything else from her, with the way she's being treated. I can't wait for the moment when Jade shows up in ThunderClan and gets the attention from them. Maybe then Amberpaw will learn how to not be quite so conceited, haha.

Also, I definitely wasn't expecting that to happen to Nettle! He didn't seem like a particularly great brother to Jade, and so I wasn't very attached to him, but I still felt surprisingly sad over this. And now, Jade's relationship with her mother will likely be even more strained... I'm guessing that Jade's father might have died, or perhaps her mother had some kind of falling out with him, and that's why she doesn't seem to want much to do with Jade, who looks so much like him.

(By the way, Heather is the name of Jade and Nettle's mother, right?)

This sounds like a good story so far! I only just read the prologue, and while I wasn't too sure whether I personally would like the idea at first, I'm definitely interested enough to read more now! After taking a look at the summary, I wondered why all the other cats in the Clan would love and praise Amberpaw so much, but based on what happened during Rosemoon's kitting, it makes some more sense now. Not only is Amberpaw the Clan leader's own daughter, but she's also his only daughter. And I also liked the way that Duststar and Rosemoon settled on the name 'Amberkit' for her..
