Really, though. Now I can just picture the Company seeing Thorin and Eldae talking under the tree and one by one go on over to see what they're talking about. And when it turns out they're talking about Bilbo, well, then, everyone has to share his favourite memory of their hobbit, and so this fic happens.

I am crying! Like, tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat, crying! How? WHY? This is gorgeous and heartbreaking, and I both love and hate it at the same time because how dare you kill Bilbo! And yet...it's so appropriate for the theme you have going through this story. It truly is masterful.

Good story so far. I'm glad that Ori finally accepted Bilbo and it is good that Dwalin is teaching him how to fight.

wonderful story! you actually did what very, very few writers on here have done, you made me tear up. it is a beautiful ending and I wish you the best with your future writings.

I believe chapter 13 made me dramatically gasp and clutch my chest in an incredibly cliché manner. Good lord, you let all the dwarves live but you KILLED Bilbo. I admit I didn't see that one coming.
The whole story is wonderfully written, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! :)

This was so wonderful and heartwarming. The ending broke my heart but it was still so sweet.

:(( Crying but so happy and I LAUGHED at the 'get a better lock' bit. I couldn't help but think of Fred and George (Harry Potter) as I know they would use that excuse for messing with their other brothers' things. I am.. yes, content, with this. I HATED that that Pale Jerkface succeeded in ending the line of Durin and wanted just one of them to live. You gave me all three, at the cost of Bilbo, but you eased it with this epilogue and Kili and Tauriel YES! It would make a mini Bilbo, I can see that. I might check out some of your gen stuff and see if you have any good h/c in there too. :D And congrats on being only my 2nd deathfic fav. 10/10

Glad I read this after the party, I am bawling and my heart... it hurts SO much. I'm more a hurt/comfort and to this day there is only 1 fic, an NCIS one, that was a death fic. At this rate... I just may have to make the total 2.

Gotta leave for a work Christmas dinner but this was awesome. I'm loving these so much and I had to fight to not cry when he said 'I am proud to call you my king' to Thorin. I don't want to show up with red eyes. I kinda figured Thorin's would be around that dark time and, lets face it, ANYONE that reads these had to have watched the movie itself and if they didn't figure that out, they fell asleep (somehow) during that third movie. 5/5
