Alright, shanks is clueless and mistook luffy's gender when she was 7. But that newspaper clearly wrote and regarded luffy as 'female pirate captain' didn't it? So why does shanks keep refering to luffy as a boy and his son?

You might want to change all the time Luffy is written as a she or female pirate in the newspapers. That is if Luffy is a male like Shanks thinks.
