VeryBadMau chapter 1 . 7/22/2018 A stunning, beautifully crafted AU. Not only did you make the Medieval world tangible, but you built upon the Arabic influence so well that it was a nice change from the typical Euro-centric backdrop used for that time period. Also an interesting change to see Ishizu's father being portrayed as the doting parent while the mother is viewed as the more "abusive" of the two. It was nice to see the friendship blossom between Ishizu and Pegasus throughout the years, and tears at one's heart to see them part after reading their journey together. It's both a happy and sad ending in that Ishizu is free to pursue her own path to search for her little brother, but also sad in that Pegasus must still look for a way to "revive" Cyndia and do so alone after having Ishizu's company for half a decade. A fantastic tale. Thank you for sharing it with us. :) |
Nemisor chapter 1 . 9/3/2015 Seeing that I already voted for this, you probably gathered that I really liked this one. :P This was truly a beautiful read. I found the setting absolutely fascinating and it was so well build! The translation of Ishizu's family situation to this setting was really really good and really interesting. The relationship between Pegasus and Ishizu was a definite highlight of the piece, I really dug how nice Pegasus was to her and their growing closeness and the way you wrote Ishizu was phenomenal. Probably my fave writing of her I've ever come across. If I have any critique, I must say that towards the end (starting from about "Ishizu carefully steps forward...") there's a series of really long paragraphs, that are very even in their size, which makes for quite a heavy read, and could have benefited from a few one-line paragraphs peppered into the mix. But that aside, this was really enjoyable. Thank you so much for sharing! :D |
