With current world events, I decided to revisit some of the fics I had read when I was in 8th grade. While I'm honestly disappointed that many of them haven't withstood the test of time and my developing reading preferences and standards, I can happily say that this was as good as the first day I read it. Your characterization is amazing, everyone is in character (while dealing with the changed circumstances), and I really respect the way you and everyone in the story handles Mabel. I appreciate you still utilizing the canon events while adjusting them for the older characters and different circumstances leading up to it (Dipper being better at hiding his pining and respecting Wendy's relationship status being one of the things I really liked).

I know it's been over four years since the last update. I hope you're doing well, and haven't lost your passion for writing. This was a pleasure to read and an even bigger pleasure to reread, even with the hard topics and the difficult feelings.

ah well. I'd ask for an update but seeing as its been about 3 years that's probably not gonna happen. I just wanna let you know that it's a really good fic and it's a shame it was never finished.

Re-read this whole thing after re-reading on of your other stories. This was a work of art in the making but shame like your other story that you stopped without warning. The first few chapters were amazing and I loved reading every line of it, it was soo good in fact that I saw someone steal the whole first part of it :/
The second half was really interesting to see how the events differed from the show and how it evolved.
The characters felt on Point. The pacing was great and everything was just great.
I'll leave with a "F" here on the grave of this story.

Cantica10, I have read the whole story so far in a day, and I want you to keep up the amazing word, with understanding that you have other stuff that must be done like live life to it's fullest and write more stories! And of course, all boring studies and that stuff that everyone hates. Any who, this is the best story I ever read on this website, and I think I might create my own series, but I have to ask my friend first for one f the two stories, since the one that I might start with will be the first to be ever written and sent into public, but if she does accept, either way or not (since I have my own to work on,) the will both be with the protagonists as cats, so I think it will be interesting to see how it will end out! I hope you work more on this story while you have free time, other than studying in that time, for you know, boring old dumb classes that everyone wishes never existed, so yeah. I will enjoy all of this series on Mable Pines (because she's the best character in the Gravity Falls series,) and her being away from the family she never had for seven years. Before I leave you to it, I have some suggestions, not saying that you might not know these tricks or anything, but I learned this through experience as the amazing person I am. So what you want to do is read more. Reading more will increase your vocabulary words for DipDop, as Mable sometimes calls Dipping Sauce. And also it will help you write better sentences. Geez, I'm only eleven turning twelve and telling a person who's clearly older than me to try this trick, even though this author might be already doing it, but how will I know since I don't know you. I've finished reading through this story for a second time now. It is simply incredible. The first half is just so heartbreaking in the best of ways. The second half still has plenty of tearful moments, but it's also very uplifting to see Mabel slowly but surely getting better.

The mystery behind the "scary-man" and what Bill's planning with all of this (Bill was clearly possessing the scary-man during the first chapter) makes me really interested in how the rest of the story would play out.

I sincerely hope that you are able to continue this one day.

I've been perusing the fandom for good fics and this sure as hell is one. Damn! You got me hooked on the first couple chapters. I thought this was set after the series proper but you surprised me when you started dropping hints that it was going to segue into the first season.

I like this AU. Or whatever you call it scenario. I have a strong imagination so I could easily see this play out like an animated drama in my head. I like how you get into the character's heads and it's good to see the series' story play out with re-fleshed characters.

I do hope you would continue this. I want to read more. I'm supposed to be asleep right now - I got work in less than six hours but screw it.
