One, I agree with the trio. Riddle had to've prepared himself before making a Horcrux. Two, If these three could find and destroy two or three Horcruxes in such a short time why hasn't Fumblemort found and destroyed even one? Answer, He isn't even trying. He has decided that it's all on Harry. It's Harry's job to find, destroy the Horcuxes and finally die while weakening Riddle enough for Fumblemort to kill him easily. Thus getting all the glory and allowing him to pull the magical world back to the Victorian age or possibly even earlier. In other words, he wants to go backwards not forwards to the future which he's afraid of.

That's another Horcrux down. Harry's doing more than Fumblemort ever thought of doing! At the rate he's going he'll destroy most of the Horcruxes long before Riddle can set up for his rebirth ritual and long before Fumblemort even realizes Harry's actually done it! Now the trio just has to figure out that Harry is an accidental one and find a way to destroy it as well. Without killing Harry of course.

It'll be interesting to find out about those coins. They could be really old Galleons or even ancient foreign coins. The Armory with all those weapons would be all but useless in Harrys' time as wizards and witches no longer really use them. Look at the Death Eaters for instance. The only one you ever hear about with a sword is Lucius Malfoy. In one or two other stories I've read, Neville tells Harry that almost all Pureblood families teach their children fencing. But I've never read one where the Death Eaters attack with swords or the like type weapons. It's always magic. Yeah, in some Bella carries at least one dagger but rarely ever uses it. However, the real treasure I think is all the books scrolls and tablets that they found.

Well, regardless of what they do find it won't be Draco in drag. The ferret would never survive the first half of the test never mind the second! It's only the end of third year so he's still threatening everybody who doesn't follow his and his fathers' ideals with the rath of his father. It'll take at least two more years to actually be able to stand on his own. Now as to my guess as to what they'll find, I think at least some of it'll be powerful magic in all fields of magic. Some might be history long forgotten. Some most likely will be Parcel Magic. But seeing as it's over a thousand years old it'll have to be long forgotten or stupidly forbidden by the Ministry of/for Morons. Knowledge that the great Fumblemort doesn't know. Maybe even Mind Magics. It'd be interesting if they found a much stronger way of protecting their minds form the old goat molester and his pet Death Eater. Now if they really wanted to piss off the old goat molester, after they master it, teach it to those students who stand for the light against the dark. That'd really anger him as he could no longer casually read the minds of those students. I imagine it'd really piss him off if the Weasley twins were to be taught something like that. Neville really needs it along with the help to fully come out of his shell and be the strong warrior he was meant to be. There's no telling what Harry and his ladies could get out of what's in there. There's just no telling whether or not Slytherin collected works form the other Founders as well as other powerful mages of the time. But regardless, if Fumblemort learns of what they've discovered/earned he'll demand they turn it all over to him as only he could say if it was dark or light. And you can bet he'll call it dark just to keep it for himself. It could be the lightest of light magics and he'd still name it dark! Who knows, they could find a cure for Remus in there!

Not the first time I've come across the idea that Slytherin wasn't a Blood Purist. I've even come across stories where he' quite noble. But this is the first time I've read anything about this level of protection on a section, living quarters for him though. The only other time I've read about something like this they were just well hidden needing both a Curse Breaker and a Parselmouth to find and open. Now let's see, they're in Harrys' mind so that should give Harry the advantage. It's also possible that Harry could reconnect with both his ladies and share magic between them. Thus adding to Harrys' own and allowing him to best the shade of Slytherin.

Oh, Harry's gonna do exactly what Fumblemort doesn't want him to do! and he's taking his ladies with him! Might be some really good forgotten knowledge down there. Something to put the old goat molester in his much-deserved grave without getting caught. Though the overblown tomb on the school grounds should be vetoed. Bury the old goat molester somewhere where his body'll never be found and make sure it's head first. Then fill up to his shoulders with dragon dung and the rest with dirt. Finally, plant a bush or shrub on top. Some type of totally useless type would be perfect.

I really don't see Fumblemort stepping in to stop Luna from moving up to third year. Now if it were Harry with Hermione, then I'm certain he stop Harry but allow Hermione to advance. If Harry were allowed to advance to say fifth year, MoooRon wouldn't be able to advance with them. Something Fumblemort could never allow to happen. MoooRons' job is to keep Harry from truly studying and doing as well as he should. In some other fics, MoooRon was paid from the Potter vault to do that. He even knew where the money was coming from but didn't care. Harry really should seen MoooRon for the useless parasite that he is.

Regardless of what some readers may think, JKR never made Luna a true dumb blonde. Strange? Oh, you bet your ass she was strange! But in a nice sort of way. I like the idea of both Hermione and Luna being with Harry. Ya know, I've read a few stories where the two, sometimes with one or two other girls, have managed to convince Harry to pull his head out and show how intelligent he truly is. It doesn't surprise me at all that Harry hides how smart he is. He had the Dursleys' always telling him he couldn't do better in school then his low-grade moron of a cousin. Then, once at Hogwarts, he had yet another low-grade moron holding him back. And that meeting was a total set up by the old goat molester. So Harry really needed some positive feedback to encourage him to do his best.

Well, Fumblemort won't be too happy with this new trio's idea of freeing Sirius nor about actually destroying the Horcruxes many years early. It'll upset his time table to do so. And if they can destroy the one in Harry early, that'd throw his plans in the dustbin really well. Why, just think, it might just stop Riddle winning the war! Can't have that happen now, can we? The old goat molester never even considered consulting with anyone else about the removal of the Horcrux in Harry. No, if he didn't know it then nobody else possibly could. The old fool never considered that maybe the Goblins or possibly even the House Elves might be able to remove it safely! I read one fic where Dobby and Winky together removed and destroyed the one in Harry. In another, it was just Dobby. These made me think and realize just how much of a fool Fumblemort was. It also made me think that he really didn't care for Harry as much as he claimed to. If he truly cared for Harry as much as he claimed then he would've done a lot more to actually ensure Harry survived. He'd've checked with other ministries to see if their unspeakables knew anything to help. But he didn't. He kept it to himself and left Harry with his abusive muggle relatives. Sorry about the rant. Just had to get it off my chest.

Very nice! I like the start of this. It's a lot shorter than I'm use to but it does set the stage for the next chapter. So on I go.

I like your take on this challenge. I hope you come back to this story and finish it.
