BorderWolf chapter 9 . 12/6/2019
Joe is right, guys that leave when a beautiful babe falls asleep after a night of romance are losing out. They should stick around when the lovely lady wakes up. Joe's ex-girlfriend showing up, I hope that there isn't too much of sparks that might fly between Tina and Katie.

This was a really sweet chapter!

"Did everyone in this freaking village start their days early" definitely made me laugh, but I also like this bit because it shows that Tina's still adjusting to life in Flowerbud. The casual breakfast-turned-lovemaking was also realistically written (I just love those details and descriptions), though there was a line in there that made me wonder if the Harvest Goddess plays any role in the story or none at all (line was something about "thanking whatever entity" I think), but ultimately it doesn't matter because the story is amazing as is. Whatever comes next, I look forward to!

One of my favorite interactions in this chapter was the banter between Ann and her dad. "No breaks when we have customers, remember?" followed by Michael's "I also say no running in the house but that isn't enforced, either." was hilarious and really embodied their relationship, but when Michael went to brew himself a calming cup of tea? Don't know how calming that is when Ann's laughing her head off because your tea kettle sounds a lot like Dan. Poor Dan, his voice is making him a laughing stock, but at least he made an impact on the town. His name's sure to go down in history books.

This chapter was definitely a very nice read! One of the other little bits I liked was Ann calling Tina "T-Bird." What a fun nickname! Then there was Kurt calling his brother a pest, Ann's welding mask mishap, and the little shopping scene at the very end. I wonder how Joe's going to react to seeing her new bathing suit?

Oh, and thank you for the explanation about Joe's personality and why their relationship started so fast! It really helped me understand it more!

Thank you for this chapter, and hope you have a lovely day!

As said in the story, this escalated...!

I wanna start off by saying thank you for the double update! I hope it's alright if I review by chapter instead of by update, it usually helps me keep my thoughts together :0

This chapter was a rollercoaster ride! The beginning was hilarious, especially with that author's note, had me in stitches when I read it! Guess this means you know an irl Dan, even if it's only by impression, but it does remind me of my sister! She loved doing that twirly thing that Dan does and would always do it when he did it. It made the game a lot more fun that way. Anyways, the beginning of this chapter was really funny! Inhale a lollipop from laughing too hard? Just picturing Ann's invention exploding, and instead of an explosion, Dan's voice just booms in the entire shop? (Poor Michael, having to deal with all that noise...) I had to take a breather before reading because I was laughing too hard! Oh, and just the small mentions of the rival couples were really cute! It's always nice to read about them. I also liked how you expanded upon Lyla's business and how she braids hair, too. That's a very nice detail.

Then when you were describing Joe's backstory, or at least that one memory, man the mood grew somber real fast. I really like how realistically you wrote about the pressure Tina was feeling over recreating the dish. After all, it holds a lot of meaning, and messing it up just seems to be in bad taste. At the very least, I'm glad it turned out alright! And the part where Joe actually gave her the cookbook... I just, well, I really like how they trust each other. It seems so nice, you know? To trust someone, even with something as weighty as that.

Then the ending... wow. That happened fast. I don't have much to say here since I'm kinda shy when it comes to talking about this stuff, but it's very well written smut. You could feel their emotion—and their attraction—throughout it, and I'm glad their relationship is going so well despite it being only about a season old (I think? Unless there was a time skip somewhere and I missed it, but I think it's only been a season).

Again, thank you for the double update! I look forward to reading this story, and I hope you're doing alright!

Aww, this is a nice chapter. I admit that when you wrote about Joe going to buy chicken meat from Hank, it punched me in the face—I was so used to everything being vegetarian meals (except the fish, poor things), but it's refreshing to see some world building.

I think my favorite scene is when they go out to play with Buddy, especially the part where the puppy interrupts their time alone, haha. The part where you mention Buddy chasing the squirrel reminds me of my dog, and it just makes me want to play with my dog, too!

The ending scene of this chapter was nice and calming too. There's nothing like a good relationship where you're comfortable lying down next to the person you love. I also see you added one of Joe's marriage lines in there, nice touch. This chapter was a very relaxing read.

I hope you'll feel better soon! Please take it easy and get enough rest!

Ooh, a revamp of this story too? And a change to first person pov? And a lot of change to the plot? I'm really excited to see where this goes! Your writing style is fantastic and gets me hooked every time, especially when you leave off on cliffhangers (or maybe I'm just eager to read what happens next, haha).

I love the way you depicted the characters in this chapter and let us see some relationship building, like with Ann's characterization, I just loved how she seemed so lively and nonchalant about failure. Her relationship with Blue is really interesting too, and the part with the spring horse race and some guy trying to heckle money? That killed me! I had to stop reading to laugh. Oh, Dan, can't wait to see if you appear in the story.

The scene at the end was very cute, too. It didn't feel rushed and it was written very well. Then again, all your writing is written so well! I look forward to reading this story, and thank you for the chapter! I hope life's going well for you!

Nice fanfic, jazmin! XD How about doing an energetic Luke x Akari, or a Chelsea x Vaughn(gotta love that gruff cowboy), or a Wizard x Hikari or Gill x Hikari! Personally I'd love a Luke x Akari, there isn't enough of them on this website.

Same anon again. I enjoyed the chapter and how you made Joe not "controlling" but leading her into the action so to say. My only complaint is that it is a bit of a disconnect on how it ends since its flashback and Joe was talking about marriage before it happened.

I don't wanna give you a couple that will feel like a homework assignment so how about choosing your one true pairing that isn't well written in the fandom? Your doing great contributing to the Joe section by the way. :p And if you really don't know who to write and need a small push...there isn't any Yuri from A new beginning fan fiction that I know of.

Well you got one person reading this to comment. I have to admit I was surprised to find a Joe fanfiction, especially in the M section. Even more surprised that you kept on going with the story. I like your style of writing in this and I think you portrayed Joe on par with the game. All I can say is keep on going.
