Hi. You probably forget about this fic. But, It was recently that I discover this TV series Forever. I saw all epidodes by streaming, and I loved it. When I finished I learned that the series was cancelled. I couldn't believe it because it is such an amazing series. So I looked in this website for stories. I thought "someone has to wrote something about it" . No surprise to me, there are, a lot. So far, this one of yours is the best I like, especially because you capture the characters personalities so well. I liked that Henry doesn't has to kill himsef to prove it to Jo that he is inmortal. She, as an excellent detective, went to detect, so it is cool that she comes to "I don't not believe you". Love that part. Jo is not Nora, who we're all really mad at her, but is not Abigail either, who although we loved, is from another generation. This is Jo, a different woman, modern and from our generation, so her reaction is believable and according to who she is. I also love to see how Abe loves his father and the fact that he always have his father. You know, I lost my father when I was 11 and I would like the most to have him now, his advices even his scowls, so I'm really touched how well you capture this relationship between father and son. Really enjoy your story. I can imagine this as an episode last scene with the voice over of Henry saying those last words "...for as damaging as lies and secrets can sometimes be, the one thing that can rise about it all, is love." And then the credits. Awesome!

Poor freaked out Henry. Glad Abe managed to get her to come. Good work

Very cute bonus scene. And with Henry's clumsiness and run of bad luck, I could believe he could've died by 'stupidity.' ;) I wouldn't put Henry above still doing that to Abe. Just imagining Jo's smile and reaction to being accepted to this unusual little family brings a huge smile to my face. Nice job. I'll say again, I do hope you'll decide to write more Forever/Mortinez :D

what was the most embarrassing way Henry died, syphilis?

That was absolutely wonderful! I've read (and written) plenty of Jo's reaction to Henry telling her the truth about his condition. This is definitely one of my favorites. I loved how Abe got Jo to come over. I think it was the possibility of Jo never seeing Henry again that convinced her to come over.

The conversation about all the ways he's died since their partnership was very well done. The part with Abe agreeing with Jo to not see Henry die was perfect. Henry doesn't seem to understand that even though he knows it's not permanent and he'll be back, it doesn't take away the images of seeing him dying/dead...

Jo wondering about a heart attack... that part killed me (but in a good way). Excellent, excellent job! Curious to see the light-hearted bonus scene. Loved it! Hope to see more Forever/Mortinez from you in the future. :D
