Can't believe I'm already halfway through this, another great story by you Imperator. A bit slow to get rolling but that's fine. Very good flashback scene! Another song that enhances that scene is Unreal - "After Hours", listening to that for that scene got me to tear up a bit because of all the emotion.

I am really conflicted about this. It's a good story and good characters but just...pokemon. what's worse is that I ship it but it still feels weird damn it.

The biggest complaint I have is the severe abuse and over use of single quotation marks everywhere. They are in no way meant to be used for simple emphasis on a word. If you can't use bold because of poke speech, then it should be italicized. Otherwise, it seems annoyingly like everyone in this fic uses air quotes for no reason all the time.
