Allow me to tell you I just died with this chapter! Especially with the last bit! I can't remember why I hadn't read this story already! I love it!

Damn all the feels. Doesn't matter that I've read this before. Doesn't matter that I know how it ends. Literally almost word for word. Your words, your stories still make me have all the feels that I don't always believe exist. So good. This really is one of my absolute favorite stories, not just because it's Golly or that you wrote it, I love this story because it has everything the end of RB lacked. It has actual depth and growth, even though it's relatively short. Even though it had an end in sight. Well sort-of end, I guess. Open doors and all that jazz.

Idk about you but few things get me in the Christmas spirit more than reading about deranged serial killers, their accomplices, and dysfunctional Peck family-ing. Puts things in perspective, I guess. Or maybe it's watching Gail kick absolute ass and take down her worst nightmares and walk out not only standing but hand in hand with Holly. Could be that ;). Of course this chapter really helps heal a lot of wounds. Especially with Traci, who I've always loved. And getting to see Oliver Andy Noelle is always a blast too.

Awwwwwwww such adorable nerds, the pair of them. I think one of my favorite things about your universes is that your "straight" characters are only ever sort-of straight. Like Juliet. And Traci. It always makes their interactions with Gail and Holly that much more entertaining. This chapter is seriously amazeballs, considering it goes from skirting around dating to offers to move in. The U-hauling is so satisfying in this one though. Even if commitment normally gives me hives, I love the way you write Golly relationships. So good.

You know one of the best perks of a reread? I don't have to wait to see the next chapter. So your cliffhangers don't work. But even when I know they're coming and even when I know what happens next, I'm still entirely captivated by it that I'm (internally) screaming at my screen. The yelling would probably be more external but it's nearly 1 am and I do have neighbors and not great walls. Anywhoo. The first bit of this story again gutted me and made me really glad that I don't have a heart because Steve scenes would shatter it right to pieces. Other random thoughts, Jules is awesome, Nick is more than tolerable, and this whole dance between Holly and Gail is swoon worthy. That's all for now. I was going to stop after only two chapters but let's be real here, you left it on a cliffhanger so I obviously have to keep reading and flooding your inbox ;)

Fuck dude, no matter how many times I read this story (and yes I've read it multiple times even if I was previously being shitty about not leaving these things) it's like opening up old wounds. Season 6 of RB was shit. So much potential squandered. But this, this here, makes it a slightly easer pill to swallow. Steve's corruption on the show was awful because we knew how important he was to Gail and he had nearly taken down Oliver with it. But of course they were more focused on Andy than anything else and how important it was that she save Oliver's job, blah, blah, blah. But the part of the season that always stuck out the most to me was the Home Run episode. It was the first time that Gail blatantly chose the job and doing the right thing over being a Peck. She chose it over her brother. That's fucking character growth. So this chapter, this one encompasses all that in so many better words than I could possibly say.

This is the second time I have read your story. It is just so very good.
