I think it's great that the two of them finally admitted how they felt about each other. It's about time.

I can see why Dennis is a sore spot. I see Brennan with, "Don't you trust me?" But day-am, Dennis is like that bad penny that keeps turning up. Personally? I hope that Brennan and Baron and all their friends find a new bar to hang out in. Personally, I don't think Baron would want Brennan hanging there with Dennis around. That guy is creepy. He's married but he's acting like she doesn't have the right to see anyone? That's just wrong.

It's good that they told each other how they feel. I'd even say the timing was good. Concerning Dennis, Baron seems insecure about it and gets angry whenever he sees Dennis try to talk with Brennan. Then he tries to take it out on her. Not fair. I'm happy she sees through Dennis's plan and bullshit to try to woo her back while he's still married. I am wondering if she should bring up Zahra and Alexis at some point? Granted they were separated at the time. Kind of... Yes she seems quite confidant and strong but there can also be points that can leave one vulnerable to doubt and moments of insecurity.

Sex is one of those things that's difficult to review, because everyone gets their buttons pushed a bit differently, but you did wonderfully with it here. It reads very naturally between the two of them, though Brennan's gonna have to quit with the teasing at some point and actually trust herself to make decisions about wanting/initiating/not wanting/whatever'ing sex. Teasing Baron into making the first move is a good hint to her personality, though - the insecurity comes out - she wants to make him want her, first, so she's not potentially facing rejection - though she's got no reason to be that way with him.

And, of course, enter Dennis. He's just got to try to ruin a good thing, doesn't he? Good for both Baron and Brennan to be smart enough to see through it, and I'm glad Brennan doesn't give Dennis the time of day. There's no reason for her to entertain his idiocy; she's got everything she needs in Baron. Well done!

Poor Baron - there's an intensity, a desperation, about him talking with Corey. You can tell he wants to patch it up with Brennan, but he's in way, way over his head and has no idea what to do. If Brennan is ignoring him, Corey's right. It might be best for Baron to leave her alone for a bit. Granted, we know Brennan isn't handling things well right now, and being alone really ISN'T the best thing for her, but Baron's got no way of knowing that. Sometimes, pushing harder on a person who's depressed is a bad idea - that much, he SHOULD know. He hasn't gotten anywhere by pushing on Brennan.

Part of me wants to believe Corey suggested the 'romance' angle as a joke, just to test out how serious Baron was about working things out with Brennan. Now that it's clear Baron will do just about anything to get back in her good graces, I wonder if Corey's gonna regret his suggestion. Married men do generally have the luxury of not having to work quite as hard to keep their partner happy.

I like the detail about Brennan's tattoo - it's clear Baron's been paying attention, and that he remembers the little things about her. He might not be 10% sold on the idea of flowers, but he's at least got a starting point. The inner monologue here is genius. Plus, it's good that he's not like a happy-spastic-puppy about the flowers, trying to be intrusive and push to see if she's noticing them, or trying to figure out if it's him that's leaving them for her. He's just letting things run their course, as they should.

Clearly, Brennan means the world to Baron. He's gone to quite a bit of trouble to organize this date-vis-a-vis-apology outing; let's hope she goes for it. And wow, Baron, big thoughts out into the universe - kids? That's a huge step; let's get her to talk to you first!

It's good that Baron's being honest with Brennan; it feels like it's the first time in a while that he's really put himself out there, for anyone, and been truthful about how he feels about not just her, but being in ANY relationship. Roxy's definitely a metaphor for a lot of things in Baron's life. And LOL, speaking of putting things out there, funny how Baron and Brennan had a bit of the same thought about kids, though three is a bit of an arbitrary number of times to sleep with someone and then discuss babies. I think my husband (then boyfriend) and I had that beat the first night. ;)

The interplay between them at the apartment is really sweet; you can tell they're trying to be respectful of each others' boundaries, but they're both also dancing around the fact they want to sleep together. Brennan's being a bit testy, which is interesting - as much as she pushed him away, previously, she's really trying to pull him in right now. I wonder why she's being such a tease, though? Just hook up! ;)

That was one steamy shower. Me likey! *fans self* Skeevy Dennis needs to back off of our newly reunited couple.

Okay, yeah, that was... intense! Uh... I get the feeling anything I say will make me sound like a voyeur, so I'll just leave this as, very, very, *very* hot.

Whew, I'm glad that Brenna and Corbin have managed to work it out. the daisies were a nice touch and very clever on his part for thinking of that, instead of something like roses.

That 'autopilot' feeling after a breakup is the worst. You go through the motions, but nothing really registers. It's just stuff you to do have stuff to do. Numb is a feeling - the feeling you're left with when you shut everything else off, so that you don't have to face the world or try to understand it.

It could've been worse than Corey, all things considered. At least it wasn't Baron; she's not ready for all that. She's dissolve.

Wow - physically, Brennan is a mess. She's really going through the wars with this breakup - sometimes when you end a relationship, you don't just have all the leftover baggage from the person you were dating - your mind decides to serve up all the old baggage from your past relationships, too. You can't eat, you can't sleep, you just can't function. That's Brennan, right now. Poor girl.

Yeah, you can tell she's in a bad way. It's like she knows she's supposed to be polite and social with Corey - she's trying to offer him a drink - but it's coming across like, "As long as you're here, what do I have to do to make this tolerable for us both, until you get the message and leave?"

Yikes! Brennan is snapping. She's not just frayed, she's gone. That facade of politeness is gone; it's start talking or start walking time, for Corey.

Gah, she sounds gutted. I wonder if she just didn't know what she was getting into, with Baron. Not everyone is going to disclose their list of hookups, and given that it seems like Alexa was 'past,' she probably felt safe in not telling Brennan that she hooked up with Baron. Now, Zahara is a different matter, since I don't feel like that was so 'past' but...still. Brennan might not have realized that close proximity can lead to hookups, especially when you're all running around in your underwear all day.

Sounds like she's willing to accept it, though. At least Corey will be there for her through it...which makes me wonder how Baron is going to take it when/if he ever figures out that Corey went to see Brennan. The guy's got one hell of a jealous streak when he wants to. Hm. Interesting things to come, I bet.
