AWWWW! This is...so good. This really makes me reconsider Grant Ward. I usually do flip-flop on him being a straight bad guy (like on the show) or if there really was a chance at redemption for him, and I really kind of wish the producers had taken that route. Please continue this! Oh, and I totally understand your take on Skye. Of course she'd focus on her anger to cover her pain.

BRILLIANT! I admire the psychological depth in this story, it makes Grant's road to redemption seem more realistic (after all he won't just change his mind, about the last 15 years of his life, over-night because he WANTS to...) and the story overall feels very plausible which makes it so darn great to read! It's clear that you've spent a lot of time into getting into the mindset of Grant during all of this - which makes for a very thought-out story. I also really enjoy that you decided to include Romonoff and her background - which is oh so very interesting. Thanks for your work on this! Looking forward to read more on this story. And I'm really looking forward to SkyeWard happening once Grant starts to become his own person! That makes my SkyeWard-shipping heart happy since it makes for a much more healthy relationship with Grant in a more advanced mindset than the "brainwashed" one or even the "Don't deserve anything" one either... She can't after all be his entire universe as well as he can't just live to keep her safe. That simply becomes a whole new version of his relationship with Garret. So you're really going in the right direction here!

If this is before Age Of Ultron, I quite like the idea of having Ward be apart of the action. Maybe introduce him to the team by Natasha bringing him along to that party they all have at Stark's place? And, with Natasha helping the team, she can't exactly just abandon him. ;)
