These names are pretty accurate, with the rageful and combat based one being Ares the god of war and the defensive and less mobile one is called atlas, the Titan that holds up the world.

This story reminds me of " Kijudo". The bond between "tatsurian the unchained" and his human are pretty similar but no homo (both guys)

I still love this story so far, but the dynamic’s changed too drastic for me to not feel apprehensive. An intelligent Goliath is all you needed, and I’m all for above and beyond, but the talking’s...eeeehhh!
Not gonna stop enjoying this, but it’s gonna bug me to no end. Sorta like if Toothless started speaking in How to Train Your Dragon, the dynamic has changed so drastically that the relationship isn’t the same anymore. A better example is Eragon: Take our Sephira’s voice lines and leave her silent and her reactions feel a LOT more genuine than when she had dialogue. Eh, it’s fanfiction and it’s your story, and I’m enjoying this so I’ll try not to belly-ache too much

Just started reading and loving it, but i need to know: Did you model this after How to Train Your Dragon? I'm not saying it's unoriginal, far from it, but i'm just curious.

I am personally hoping there will be romance between the two! Though I was thinking Caira would be turned into a female Goliath. After reading this chapter, that seems possible, especially with that ending. I'm guessing monsters who can fully turn human and back again.

This is so awesome pls continue to update XD, also if your worried about romance between the 2 because of its size different, you could always try to have ares develope a new evolution which condenses his body into a much smaller Baidu frame. This would make it perform better considering on less food for better performance and having the body condense to a smaller build ups durability and strength too. Making it more maneuverable for size and speed. Just my opinion though, but it would be able to place romance between them easier, again just my opnion
