I feel like it would have been better to let the Rachni Queen go, but implant directives, or foster a sense of loyalty in it. Why merely deprive your enemies of a weapon when you can use it for yourself? Seems overly wasteful.

Shepard really needs a spine. it's not like merc's haven't caught sith or jedi off guard before (this story included) It's not really fun when no one challenge her in any way. doesn't need to be combat either.

still other than that, decent chapter. hope there is some consequences(fallout or whatever you want to call it.) to come for Nox's arrogance.

So an FYI for ch 1 and 2

First the Destiny Ascension is 3.2 km high and 1km long, it is described as being 4 times the size of an Alliance dreadnought which is 800m.

And second. Blaster bolts would not bypass K-barriers. Blasters have a kinetic aspect to them and are essentially high-energy particle-beams. And as we see in Mass effect 3, particle beams are stopped by K-barriers. And in Andromeda even stop plasma weapons, also in Andromeda there are weapons that fire homing plasma bolts.

Why did you shoe horn Nox into The Shepard Brigade like this?
You skip years of possible character development (for what you would be capable of), and make creative decisions that are down right plot hole level.

How the hell did she get suckered into the Spectre thing? Even if she couldn't sense it she could have still sensed the danger through the force (a canon Jedi/Sith power), and even if she did drink it what would stop her from destroying Old Shot Through The Head Guy mind, taking the specifics and just deactivating it? He Wouldn't be killed and could have even gotten the deactivation codes or specs, not to mention the other ways of getting free.

And giving the galaxy blaster tech, Nox is petty enough to be stubborn to not divulge such technology even on death so how the fuck did they get that technology?

And Five. Fucking. Years. And no luck escaping in that time?
