As for this: always happy to see this particular fic updated. I truly enjoy how you write these nerds being nerds, and I can never get enough gaming humor. Further I am always here for taking shots at 4th Ed. 5th... I'm withholding judgment. For now.

Personally I feel Pathfinder's grapple rules are... moderately not horrific? Look, it's a low bar but the simplification of CMB/CMD makes it just over said bar. And I've had to deal with those rules. A lot. I ran my party through Carrion Crown and - even ignoring grapple/pin-happy vampires out of Ashes at Dawn - there are far too many monsters with tentacles and/or grab in that Adventure Path.

Is anyone going to explain to Asuna that the Paladin class is a... very distant descendant of the propaganda(/fanfiction) put out surrounding Charlamagne and his knights?

And given Setsuna's behavior is Evangeline going to be invited to join at any point? Because as much of a gamer as she is I have to assume she tried (the nigh-unplayable) 1st Ed. DnD at some point - wonder what her perspective is, or if she's kept up with tabletop gaming at all? (She seems like the type to enjoy miniatures; and possibly to have funny stories about Gary Gygax, like she was an inspiration for the original Tomb of Horrors.)

And finally: look, I know Yue allowed Haruna to play a Succubas with the you template, but please tell me she knows better than to allow Ayaka to play a Synthesist? That'd just be horrifying.
