-I really enjoyed the training Part of Auriana and Anduin

He deserves some hard training after all that stuff he said in the previous story ;P

I just enjoyed the whole Part, the Training, how well Anduins plan works, how much Auri lets him suffer for that, and how she revealed that she knew from the beginning.

Also before I read onwards I foresee that Auri is taking Varian to the Boxbar. Where else should they go in incognito.

If its like this I will be happy that I have foreseen this, and I will need a new way for MY OC to meet Varian, because this was my way to go. x,D

Haven't slept at all. Still reading, but It's still so good!

The fight against Mar'gok was so intense! And well written! And intense. Again I am speechless. The feelings, her action! So good! _

The next chapter also was intense...

The feelings how she flees to Varian, how he took care of her, the raw emotion. His struggle because I doesn't want to take advantage...

Its just so perfect! It gave me that certain feeling in my stomach, that you only get at the real real good lovestorys, you know?

The whole scene that follows is neutral spoken one of the best scenes that way I have ever read. And I am usually someone who says 'you can't read erotic scenes in another language, it feels strange' but is just so...

The emotion just is better. I ship them hard! Well written!

But I am a bit scared she will flee from that emotion...

And I clicked on the next chapter and 'called it!' x,D

But she is back again, being a responsible person! I love that!

Also Jainas appearance! goosebumps! She is not easy on Auriana, relatable, and still!

I like the relationship between Varian and Jaina, their conversation is just interesting, and gives some more insight.

That much conversation! Its hard to say something about that because I am just always like 'This is so good!' 'this is so in-character' 'I like their relationship.' I feel a bit like a broken record. I am still praising your stuff hard!

I am just to tried to find new ways to tell you how amazing your story is!

So I am also done with this part. The last chapters where again very 'unputdownable'. I just read them and forgot about my notes.

The attack on Lunarfall was sad, but... something that could happen. But I like how Auriana doesn't let herself get stunned by that but moves on.

I love the support she gets from her garrison, and I do love Throne very much. I liked her before, but I really love what you did with her.

Quite another action packed to the third installments, looks like things are heating up between the two and well there getting comfortable with each other

Well, here we are again at the end of another of your wonderfully-crafted pieces. Three in a day. Couldn't have stopped if I wanted to; you've basically consumed my entire Monday. I hope you're proud of yourself, you monster. On the other hand, though...

This piece was absolutely incredible, and really delved into territory that I was simultaneously hoping for and dreading. In reflection, I think the strongest part of this piece, the rug that ties the room together, so to speak, is the underlying examination of who Auriana is as a person, and the relationships she's forged, friendly or otherwise, around herself. And it could easily be said that relationships between characters are a key component of any good story, so what makes the ones we find here so special? To which I would say that this piece is unique in that those relationships not only tell us about the people Auriana cares for, but they also reflect back upon who she is as a character as well, giving us even deeper insight into her personal identity. Her relationships define her more than she realizes (at least until the piece's final chapters when she has her impressively-written revelation), and to see her having to struggle for so long against the internal walls that she's created to protect herself adds extra power to the moment she's able to see the mistake in it and break through. I thought your handling of her relationship with Varian especially was incredibly strong, and once again, just so damned *realistic*. From their hesitant encounters throughout the piece (the brawlpub in particular was a personal favorite, incredibly sincere and well-done), up to and including their eventual succumbing to their feelings and the strangeness of the afterward as she struggles to define herself and what he means to her, it all just felt like a living, breathing relationship, for both good and ill. I'm interested to see how they make things work going forward, but more than anything I'm just relieved and happy for Auriana and the massive personal step she's taken in character development.

Achievement seemed to go hand-in-hand with personal pain throughout the piece, and one could make a great case of pinning that as the overall theme of the story, or even series. Her eventual revelation with Varian comes at the cost of no small amount of personal pain leading up to it. Her vengeance for Garrosh comes at the cost of wondering if anyone truly deserved to suffer as he did, regardless of how evil they were, and the hollow feeling that vengeance always bestows upon the seeker. The conquering of Highmaul comes at the cost of the loss of a personal friend, and the forced need to reconcile the true fears she has about her own terrifying inner power and addictive personality. Nothing is free, nothing comes without a cost, and that theme played out beautifully over the course of the entire piece, connecting everything together in an over-arching lesson that Auriana has to learn, both about herself and the events around her.

The entire arc with Auriana's catastrophe at Highmaul, I thought, was a great piece of personal hardship for her to overcome as a lead character. While she was primarily focused on the consequences of what letting her rage out could mean for her men, I found it incredibly powerful that in the moment she's clutching the seal, and wondering about all the power she could take for herself, the only thing I could think of in my mind were the traitorous mage's words from the first story, how she could just as easily have been the one willing to sacrifice anything for power, as he had been. They seemed to resonate through the narrative and further reinforce just how close she is to the breaking point, and while seeing her be able to pull herself back from the edge was satisfying, it was even more so seeing her confront her own internal power, and the almost mentally-catatonic fear state it placed her into afterwards. And furthermore, Varian helping her out of that state was impactful not only in that he chose to, but in the way he handled it. For all the grandeur of his station, it's refreshing that he never actively seeks to solve Auri's problems for her (even if he does *want* to, as we see when we get a glimpse inside his head). He sees her as an equal, and her overcoming these problems is only attained through her own personal strength, never by using others as a crutch. It's a strong note to hit for her character development, and you hit it multiple times over the course of the story, to resounding effect.

I love the way you write all of these characters, from main ones to the slightest cameos, but the more I think about the piece, all I can think about is Auriana. The story felt entirely her own, and does an incredible job of keeping us in her head as she battles with the Iron Horde, ogres, emotions about Varian, fear of herself...all of it. At times I felt just as overwhelmed as I'm sure she does, and a connection that deep with the character is undoubtedly the sign of impeccable writing. Forcing myself to look past it, I do like the way we see Varian try to be as patient as possible with Auri, while seeing that the inside of his skull is decidedly less so, and Anduin's sharp intelligence coming more into play as the story progresses. The interactions between the king and his son specifically (and Auri with Khadgar for that matter) are just always magnificently written, and true to character. Still, even when I was in other characters' heads for a chapter or two, I would continue to think about Auri, and what the events would mean for her. She's a brilliant character, and I can't wait to read more about her.

Your narrative pace continues to be second-to-none, and I never feel like I'm wasting time in scenes that don't need to be shown or read. The writing is crisp here, and while I thought the same of the first two pieces, there's an intangible difference to this one. Everything just seems to flow smoother, from dialogue to combat, and it's definitely noticeable. You continue to make significant tie-offs while at the same time starting up more plot threads to follow and explore, keeping Auri's personal story ever-evolving and interesting. You're not afraid to kill off characters for effect, and make the ones who survive suffer to do so, to squeeze every last drop of character development out of them; a respectable quality in any author worth their salt. I'm consistently impressed, with little in the way of technical critique, and I imagine I'll continue to be just as much so as I progress through your series. You're certainly one of the few authors I've read whom I would decidedly dread being in any kind of writing competition with, as the more of your work I read, the more I feel I wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of coming out the victor.

Just absolutely excellent work with this piece. I was thrilled to read it, and walked away floored once again at your skill on full display. Can't wait to keep reading and leave another review on the next leg of this fantastic series!

Oh my goodness. This saga was absolutely fantastic.

You really have a way with writing! Your descriptions are straightforward and at times quite short, yet they still manage to paint such a vivid picture in my mind. You obviously know your characters well, as Auriana is such a unique and developed person. She is truly relatable and such an interesting character, and her relationship with others shows how much of a good person she is, regardless of her own opinion.
You have portrayed the canon characters fantastically also, they all still retain the personalities Blizzard have given them, but you've also deepened them as characters and have given them more credibility and realism... does that make sense? I think my thoughts are getting away from me.

I've also never seen someone go into detail about magical addiciton, and this has been a winning theme throughout your stories. It has completely drawn me in and kept me reading all throughout the three stories.

And man, am I a sucker for slow-burn romances. Watching their relationship blossom under hardship and similarities was so beautiful. I think the fact that they have a true understanding of eachother really plucked at my heartstrings. True, genuine understanding.

My god, I am rambling. This is high quality storytelling (major understatement) and I do look forward to any stories you come up with in the future, either following Auriana and Varian, or new characters. Bravo!

Hey! I've been lurking here for quite some time now. What a great story! I love Auriana and Varian, they're both sooo messed up and complicated, and so totally relatable, well done. I just wish you'd give the stage to Khadgar more often, he's my favourite in WoD and you keep him so delightfully in character :)
