(A) Historically, most storytelling is not remembered for more than a generation. It's only the odd piece that lives on in posterity (or even to the next 50 years). That doesn't mean that the storytelling doesn't serve an important purpose in the lives of the readers that it DOES reach. (B) Your tales are meaningful for the people that read them, even if they're bad at articulating that or thanking you for sharing your gift. Let's face it, reviewers on this site can be terribly negligent. It's discouraging, especially when you see how many THOUSANDS read your stuff and never leave a word. That being said, you HAVE to know that UL created one of the best father Snapes out there. It's a beautiful picture of the redemptive power of love and family, and you should both be proud of it and know that it has affected many.

This was very amusing. Stopping smoking must be very difficult typical of Severus to use Slytherin tactics to help beat the habit.
