Reviews for Hooked
3seconds chapter 1 . 9/2/2015
Genius! I love how well this fits in with the show. Love getting glimpses into what's happening in and around the narrative of what we see on the show. ?..and I don't think it really needs an "end". So glad you finally posted it. Instant head canon!
Lady Anthea chapter 1 . 8/20/2015
Not that I find this by any means surprising, but finally finished reading this one and found it completely amazing, that I'm so glad that you decided to post it after letting it for so long in storage.
I've always found a lot of fun fics like this one, exploring more the character's thoughts and driving forces, rather than creating or developing a storyline (which in this case you still managed and incredibly so!). Because in the show you get to see typical bored-because-caseless Sherlock, but here you gave a name to the root of that desperation, and one as a reader gers to taste it and feel it firsthand. It's just that I kept reading and couldn't help but feeling somewhat sorry for Sherlock, because his loneliness is so palpable in the way thoughts of Irene always find their way toward him, and in the way his coping mechanisms aren't enough defense against the idea of her.
It's an incredibly powerful piece, a most certainly welcome (though painful at moments) sight of Sherlock and what the events of Karachi meant to him.
Mel chapter 1 . 8/12/2015
Yeah, he's got it bad. I love the way you made this work with the chronology of the show and your own Adlock writing. I've said it before, but I am always impressed by the quality of your writing and understanding of the characters.

Thanks for the Adlock! Can't wait for more!
always-never-obviously chapter 1 . 8/2/2015
I love your shipper goggles!
Babyangel86 chapter 1 . 8/2/2015
Loving your recent flurry of adlock goodness, even if this one came out the archive!

You paint a very torn and disgruntled Sherlock. And love how literally EVERYTHING reminds him of The Woman despite his beat efforts at distraction.
Vestina chapter 1 . 7/31/2015
Utter perfection. Absolutely brilliant.
hatondog chapter 1 . 7/31/2015
I just watched this episode last night, so it's as if you've read my mind in posting this. Superimposing Sherlock's thoughts about Irene over it is brilliant and actually does help explain the extreme agitation on display in the opening scene. And the delight on seeing a new story from you was a terrific way to end a Friday. Scour that hard drive for more, lol!
