Ponytail Goddess chapter 46 . 7/2
Well, this has been a very enjoyable story to read. If I'm totally honest with you, I avoided this story for a while because I didn't think it would be my cup of tea. I was very wrong though. I usually struggle to buy into a story where someone from our time ends up in Middle Earth, but this ended up being very believable. The romance that budded between Haldir and Aubrey was slow and true. I loved the relationship you painted between the brothers, showing us how close they were at the beginning of the fic and leading us to the ruin left between them in the end.

You really had me going in the middle of the story. I had absolutely no idea that it was Orophin torturing Aubrey. At first, I thought perhaps Meril was biased to Aubrey and was behind it, then perhaps her son (though I thought that would be terribly bittersweet). In the end, I was shocked to find it was Orophin. What passed between the brothers and Aubrey because of the situation was so sad to me. You did a great job of showing how the emotional situation affected everyone and I applaud you. I loved that Orophin was able to help in the end and was fully expecting him to die, but was pleasantly surprised when he did not. I'm glad he was given another chance to make things right with Haldir, even if we did not get to find out what became of him in the end.

I also enjoyed the inclusion of Evan in the story and how his part blossomed over time. I found myself very sad that he did not appear in Middle Earth though, as I would have liked him to be in the story at the end. Learning that they died in the fire together nearly broke me. I loved how Aubrey cared for him so deeply. It was beautiful.

Really, this story was beautifully tragic. The last chapter was painful to read as Aubrey declined. I hated that Haldir could feel her broken spirit and was so hurt by it. He loved her until the very end though and I cried when I read that he ran off the ship as he did. I both love and hate the open ending, because it did cause me to use my imagination a bit, but I'm a sucker for a happy ending and I was hoping when it said 500 years later that they would be reuniting in Valinor.

As I dwelled on the story last night, my own imagination took me on a different route. As I read the last chapter, I thought that Aubrey would end up refusing Valinor and would spend her last days with Haldir in Lorien, dying and taking him along with her. I imagined they would wake back up in her world though, allowing Haldir to finally see everything she had spoken of. Dare I ask you for a sequel like that? I doubt you would, but I know I would love that particular ending.

Anyways, I thank you for writing such a delightful story. This is one that I know I will come back to and reread time and time again. The descriptions of Lorien and the characterizations of each individual were vivid and I loved how the plot progressed and how you surprised me.

Ponytail Goddess chapter 34 . 7/1
I’m both relieved and distraught at the same time. That was quite the roller coaster ride you took us on. And to think that you have not planned on doing much with Evan’s character originally, but now I cannot imagine the fic without him

Ponytail Goddess chapter 9 . 6/30
So far, this is a very intriguing fic. I’m very curious about how Aubrey got where she is and what will happen between her and Haldir. Right now, it seems like he can’t see nothing more than his own grief. Hopefully Aubrey doesn’t take it too seriously.

Ok so I was finding this on Google and have slept 2 hours since yesterday because I managed to suck down 40 chapters until 4 am this morning, sleep until 6 get up and finally had my tengwar tattoo inked at noon. Then got home and finished the remaining 8 chapters. I love love love it. Omg I am in love with this story. Thank you so much️
