well this is a concept I haven't seen yet, Harry being raised by Slytherin and marrying and somehow killing the other founders... I kind of liike it... it's a good solid story

Well, I was expecting him to just find and kill all three for the brothers since that's what it seemed like his plan was at the time he found Antioch, so I was surprised when he took a nonviolent approach with Cadmus and was even more reasonable when dealing with Ignotus.

And thanks for the brain-breaking ending...

Lily’s death got me in the feels, the way she’s ready to die for Harry and has been preparing so that it will happen on her terms and Harry will be safe.

I liked your characterization of Salazar throughout this. At times he reminded me of Severus, although less bitter. He seems like an excellent educator and willing to give students, or Chaves at least, lessons rather than just solve their problems for them. I love that he just knows how to manipulate Helga, Rowena and Godric into letting the baby stay and knows that the women will end up doing the raising for him.

I had a thought when reading this, but if Chaves becomes Salazar’s heir, then I wonder what happened to the heir that’s bloodline would lead to the Gaunts and Voldemort. By sending Harry back, maybe that bloodline doesn’t become so important and the future is prevented… or maybe Chaves IS the ancestor of Voldemort and it’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
