this fanfic's so so good, i love how you characterized inuyasha and kikyo and your ocs. i dont really understand the midoriko/jewel thing yet i guess i'll keep reading. tbh im not that big on fanfiction, but i really needed some kikyo/inukik in my life and there isnt enough official content unfortunately. i always thought kikyo deserved a better fate so thanks for writing this story, it deserves more love but it's too bad the fandom hates the pairing and those who like it lol

i was wondering when inuyasha was going to appear lol and you didnt disappoint. i'm enjoying this and it seems like you put a lot of effort and research to write it which is amazing. because we know you're also an expert with drawing and painting. makes me a bit envious of your abilities lol

this is absolutely fantastic, i cant even find the right words to say how much i like it. it's so hard to write kikyo and keep her ic, because in the manga her motivations are not often clear, and i felt you portrayed her in a way that' could be considered "canon". sometimes in the manga i wouldnt understand kikyo and i felt like here your kikyo is how she really was feeling, i liked that you showed a cunning side to her and how kagome is naive in comparison to her. i like the narration, its simple but effective. i'll definitely keep reading

I do not know if you shall continue it, but I have to tell you that you definitely should. Your story is simply marvelous... I've always been quite fond of Kikyo, she is my favorite character of all the ever created characters but I had never been bold enough to read an alternative story until I read yours. Since then I have read several times your story and, like, a hundred times that part of the first chapter when she tries the rouge he gave her and allows him to see her wearing it: all these years I have been sweetly hurt because he never could have the chance to appreciate her being ordinary but in your story it happened... Thank you quite much for that.

Your skillfulness continues to astound me, I particularly enjoy your professionalism with ahem, that scene, keeping it to the point yet none the less intimate and worthwhile while it not dominating anything, so my thanks. Things have heated up considerably it seems and I am behind enough already that I do not need to say I look forward to the next one, I merely need to go read it.

This was a fantastic chapter, well worth the wait! So many stand out character moments I don't even know where to begin in terms of unpacking it all! I love, love, LOVE the way to write Inuyasha and Kikyo. One of my favorites parts of this chapter has be learning that Kikyo is now afraid of the dark so Inuyasha buys all the lanterns he can just so that she won't be afraid anymore. But he's still gruff and abrasive about it.

The reveal that Akuma is Hisashi's brother was an interesting reveal and brought up a great dilemma for the gang. I really liked the small shout-out to the situation with Kohaku in the series. The fact that it was Inuyasha who came up with an alternative was great since he's usually depicted as a moron when in the show he does come up with plans to defeat his enemies on his on (albeit in simplistic spur of the moment type plans).

I'm glad this story has been updated and I eagerly look forward to the next chapter.

I silently screamed when I saw the update email lol

I love the way Kikyo talks, she's like a noble woman and a gruff teenager all in one adorable package. Imagining her all dolled up for the trip is quite amusing, especially fussing over the crown. Inuyasha's protectiveness with her fear of the dark and the jewel is so heart warming, its obviously such a gruff response but I don't think it would be done any other way with him.

I've always loved the idea of Kikyo being a symbol of hope and seeing the way she brings this rag tag team together just solidifies that for me. Nariko is a great addition to their team and I love seeing how she interacts with Inuyasha like he's her brother and then she's an entirely different way with Kikyo. She fits, just love it.

The fight with Akuma and seeing Hisashi's brother come back was a shocker. All their reactions were on point and I was really counting on Inuyasha refusing to lose Kikyo again, I knew that would come about. He's so tender with her and I love how it mixes in with his gruff personality.

Really looking forward to more and I enjoyed this chapter greatly for different reasons. I know the team will be able to handle what comes their way but I can't wait to see how.

Oh man, you don't know how close you got to my fantasy of Kikyou in demon slayer armor...

Although Inuyasha would also look great in it. I'm weird

It's so beautiful. I would rather read fanfiction then watch the canon world of Inuyasha because I feel such happiness/sadness for their love.
I love them together and this version of them is so.. Holy Christ.
There are so few stories that capture their essence while also breathing new life into them.
Please say you'll write more. This is a truly beautiful story.

Not a fan of detailed smut, so I apologize that I cannot give any feedback in that regard. However, this is moving along very interestingly and I am looking more and more forward to seeing how this could end! It's a unique idea for a plot to be sure. I've been following Gammer's fic "50 Years Too Early" as well which is another interesting idea, Kagome showing up in Kikyou's original time period, and this fic brings in another interesting timeline shuffle.

I'm glad to see a fic where it shows Kikyou appreciates Inuyasha as he is, too. It's too often overlooked that their plan to change him was not one of malice or hatred of what Inuyasha is. It is one thing to accept someone as they are, and another to be able to live with them in peace when they are that way. This has been explored in many, many different stories with characters who come from different social classes and are unable to be together even if they love and accept one another. I think people forget that just because Kagome is/was in a position to be able to accept and be with him doesn't mean Kikyou had that luxury. For better or worse, people are often limited by their circumstances.
