try spacing the sentences more and make paragraphs if you can so that the story would look a little more "appealing" to the eye

Describe every characters actions in a way that they would react in that situation. For example, maybe Pearl would shake and bawl, Garnet may grit her teeth and take revenge on peridot because of her violent nature. Amethyst would probably be shocked and try to cheer Steven up though she feels like its hopeless. Find interesting reactions for every individual character. But I have to say I like Chapter 2.

Its pretty good, just make sure to indent every seperate paragraph (4-6 sentences) and indent everythime there is dialogue. Not only would it look alot longer, but its will not drive some readers away. Lastly, build a scene around then such as carefully describing details of the area they are in. I love the plot though! Keep going!
